Chapter 31 - Chapter 31, Departure

A whole week has passed since Kevin said he would go the next day to the Lower World, after telling his sister, Stella, and Emilia.

They came as they said and made him stay one more week with them to have fun before going on their way, except for Emilia who in his disbelief will accompany him to the Lower World.

After Aunt Sylvia talked to my mother to know the details of the place I am going to in the Lower World and knew that she is sending me herself, she asked if she could take Emilia with us, to which my mother immediately agreed without even asking for my opinion.

After knowing this, I asked my mother for the reasons, and she only told me to take care of Emilia which frustrated me, and when I went to Emilia, she immediately kept crying crocodile tears to convince me to let her come with me.

Although I wanted to object, but with a glare from my mother, I had no other choice but to agree.

Now we are standing in front of the Palace waiting for my mother to come so we can move to the Lower World.

While I was waiting, I was staring intently at Emilia, while she kept her gaze away and kept looking around as if she is looking for something interesting around us.

"Hey, Look at me!" I called to her in a disapproving tone when I saw what she is doing.

She started fidgeting when I called her to look at me and joined her thumbs together to play with them.

I just sighed and decided to let it go and talk to her in a relaxed tone.

"Emilia, look at me," I called to her this time gently.

She decided to look at me this time and pay attention to what I am saying.

"What?" she said in a very low voice that I barely heard what she was saying.

"Look at me and tell me why you are fidgeting in your place when I haven't done anything to you yet?" I decided to ask since I was curious.

"Aren't you angry with me for coming without your permission?" she asked with the same mosquito voice that she used before.

"What use being angry at you now? It won't change a thing," said Kevin with a sigh, if he was a 14-year-old kid, he would have either one of two reactions, the first he would throw a tantrum as a child for not respecting his words, the second being very welcoming for a young beauty to accompany him on his journey to win her heart, but Kevin was neither and he was very adaptive so he adapted quickly to his change in plans.

"Then are you really not angry with me anymore?" Emilia decided to ask again to make sure.

"A little but not much, but you will have to follow my rules when we go there as there will be no one to protect us down there," I said seriously to her as I don't want to deal with a disobedient child.

"Don't worry, I won't be a burden to you there," she said with a happy smile after finding that Kevin is really not angry with her anymore and jumped to give him a tight hug.

"Hey, stop invading my personal space," I shouted while pushing her away from my body.

"I see that you are as close as ever," said a voice from behind us with a chuckle.

After pushing Emilia away, I looked behind us to find that my mother has arrived and was watching us with a warm smile that was gracing her enchanting red lips.

I could do nothing except cough to hide my embarrassment as for Emilia, she only showed me her tongue and smiled before turning her head to look at my mother.

"So mother, are we ready to go?" I decided to ask to change the topic so the atmosphere won't become awkward.

Thankfully my mother didn't continue to tease us a nodded at me with a smile.

"Yes, everything is ready, do you have your protective talisman for you and Emilia in case an emergency occurred down there?"

"Yes, I have enough with me to protect us from peak transcendent in case anything went wrong," I replied to my mother with a smile.

"I wish I could give you a Divine level talisman but you won't be able to activate it, and it would damage you and the Continent you are on because of the divine energy in it as Divine experts are not allowed down there."

"There is no need, nothing would happen to threaten us anyway, we are going to be strong enough soon anyway," I said feeling warm in my heart feeling her love and care for us.

"Little Emilia, if Kevin dare to bully you down there, you can send me a message immediately, your and Kevin's talisman are different from the ordinary talisman out there, so they will allow you both to contact us in case anything happened," add Rebekah with a smile.

"Don't worry Aunt Rebekah, he can't do anything to me," Emilia said with a grin.

I just looked at them speechlessly as the previous fidgeting Emilia wasn't there a few minutes ago, I choose to stay silent so we can move already, as I started feeling excited about the things we are going to face in the adventure, the blood in my body also started roaring in excitement as if agreeing with me.

As a black dragon, my bloodline branch of the dragon clan is one known for wars and fighting as we thrive on death and destruction.

Although I am a black dragon, I am related to the clan made of black dragons only but my blood is more Royal than theirs because only our Royal family doesn't have fixed linage, our Royal clan always produce a different dragon linage from their parents, and no I am not talking about a new subspecies, I am just saying if my grandfather was a water dragon, then the child that will come from his linage could probably be a white dragon, as it is purely due to luck.

Other than that our bloodline is more noble and Royal than the other clans of our species out there, that is because we are connected to our Progenitor, sometimes there are exceptions like my mother and sister as both of them are Crimson Dragons.

Although I don't believe such a thing, as there must be a reason why our lineage doesn't have a fixed bloodline, but that is for later to investigate as I have no leads about the reason.

After calming my blood a little to focus on my mother, I decided to urge her to start moving.

"Can we go now? We already wasted enough time," I said after looking at my mother and Emilia reproachingly.
