Killian went back to the inn that he was staying. There is only two inns in the whole capital city of demi-human kingdom since there is rarely travelers due to the war.
One is for the commoners and the other is for the rich which is mainly for the heroes that participate in the war and contributed greatly. The price of the two inns are different as day and night.
Killian stayed in the latter. It was mainly to acquire information. The memories of commoners will not give many information. Even the so call heroes' memories doesn't contain the information of inner matters.
He needs someone famous among the heroes or high ranking officials. However there is no way high ranking officials would come here. Thus he has very limited information.
Killian sat on the bed and opened the system interface.
"I have five chaos sprinters in my inner dimension. However I cannot make more of them because I lacked resources."
Killian sighed. Being poor after being rich for a long time feels terrible. Killing a few citizens from the demi-human kingdom won't give him much chaos essences.
He doesn't want to abduct citizens and kill them to get chaos essences like when he did in Laria kingdom.
Its not that he have love for the demi-human kingdom, the cost for the chaos units is hundreds of times higher than the undeads he summon before.
A thousand citizens won't even enough to make one chaos sprinter. The only way to get enough chaos essences was to wipe out the whole city. He doesn't want to do that yet since he need the demi-human kingdom to win the war.
There are deaths everyday. Inside or outside the war. The kingdom won't know even if he killed hundreds of people.
They will simply thought as it was the work of rebels. He killed a few people to read memories but there is no consequences and the kingdom didn't even care about some people dying.
Because of the law that force the people to participate in the war, there are many rebels in every kingdoms that wanting to overthrow the current rule.
"But there's something fishy about that. With this level of revolution, there is no way the kingdoms can overlook."
If this scale of revolution happened outside the dungeon, the kingdom will most likely to be overthrown. This level of revolution is simply too much for a kingdom to handle.
But in here, these backward kingdoms are holding on and didn't appear to be overthrown. They even kept going to war with each other.
"There is something holding them that I do not know of. Maybe the arrangements of magic emperor?"
Killian thought.
Knock... Knock!
Just when Killian was deep in thought, he heard someone knocking his door.
"Who's looking for me?"
He looked through his door. With his level, looking through a door is easier than drinking and eating. Killian saw Carnoal outside his room standing in front of the door.
"Carnoal? What is he doing here?"
Killian frowned. Him being discover is close to zero percent. Also Carnoal didn't seem to brought any soldiers along with him. So it is unlikely.
He doesn't afraid of exposing. There is no way these backward races can threaten him even if he was exposed. Its only troublesome and he had to find another race.
He will need a race to win the war of races and pass the fourth floor. He can't just use brute force and destroy everything. It was already proofed in the past floors.
Then it must be for another reason. Killian thought and opened the door.
"Greetings, I'm Carnoal, Can I come inside and chat with you?"
Carnoal smiles said. Killian frowned. But he nodded and let him in. Carnoal is a general of the kingdom and well known person. Killian have to give face to him. If not it will not be realistic to his identity.
Also Carnoal is no threat to him. To be specific, Killian can easily crush someone like Carnoal under half a second. He is in his main body after all.
"Why would a general of a kingdom came personally to see someone like me?"
Killian skipped the pleasantries and asked. He was actually curious. As a general of the demi-human kingdom, Carnoal has a high status. Its strange for him to come here just for a chat with a stranger.
Carnoal took a deep breath and said.
"Please participate in the war between the kingdoms. The demi-human kingdom has unfavorable situation. We need your strength."
What! This guy is here to recruit me? Killian raised his brows. He knew the kingdom always tried to recruit people. But the general didn't have to come himself. It was overkill in normal situations. Its unlikely that a general recruit every single soldiers by himself.
"Why me? You don't even know me. Plus I don't think a great general of the demi-human kingdom will go around and recruit every single soldier by himself."
"Because you are strong. When I saw you in the morning, my senses instantly tell me that you are very powerful and dangerous. As for whoever you are it doesn't matter. Being a demi-human is all that matters."
In the chaotic war, countless people die everyday. The kingdoms didn't have a luxury to look into their people. Thus its normal that there are unknown people.
Sometimes your friend might disappear and a completely new person might become your new neighbor. There are many modifications made by the magic emperor and some of them are not perfect.
There are loopholes and strange things everywhere. Thus as long as one's race is the same, they can be considered allies.
Carnoal carefully looked at Killian. He felt a powerful pressure coming from Killian.
Actually he didn't even feel this kind of pressure in front of the demi-human king. However this mysterious person in front of him was emitting a dangerous aura stronger than the king.

Killian thought. He forgot about that. As an animal based demi-human, Carnoal has very sensitive senses. The senses are uncertain but it is something that cannot block eveb with powerful disguise.

Killian had to think of a way similar to that if he wants to conceal from the beast's senses. But it is too troublesome. Not only Killian has to think of a way but also be an actor for about a week to complete.
Thus Killian thought of let it be. Also being powerful and mysterious in front of the others is not entirely a bad thing.
"The kingdom can give you everything. Status, position or money, we will give you as much as we can in exchange for your help."
Carnoal bowed deeply and said.
He can't force someone who possess power even if he was a general. Normal means like duty or responsibility will never work on them. The kingdom has to give benefits in exchange for their strength.
Killian remained silent as he was thinking. After a while he slowly nodded.
"Very well. I will participate in the war."
Killian has already planned to go to war for the dungeon mission. But he never thought it was turned out automatically this way. Still it was more convenient this way.
Carnoal was overjoyed. He thought he would be rejected. There are many powerful people that avoiding war in the kingdom. Who want to risk their life when they can just hide and live. No matter how strong they were, they can always lose their life in the brutal war.
Killian sneered. Carnoal wants to make use of his strength. Its like inviting a cat to deal with the rats. Little did he know, he was inviting a lion straight into his house.
