After Killian agreed with the request, Carnoal left with a smile. He told Killian to come to the military base of the demi-human kingdom the next day.
Killian opened the system interface.
"Hopefully I can replenish enough essences from the war."
He cannot call his undeads and demons from outside of the dungeon. Thus his only available troops are five chaos fiends, one dryad and a few hundred treants that he got as a reward from the second floor.
This number is too insignificant to conquer the whole floor by himself. Also he can't take them out and use them in the open when he was helping the demi-human kingdom or it will become suspicious.
The next day,
Killian went to the military base of the demi-human kingdom to meet Carnoal. The military base look very normal. There are hundreds of demi-human guards patrolling around the base.
"Halt! State your business."
A demi-human guard at the entrance stopped Killian.
"I have an appointment with Carnoal. Call him here."
Killian released a bit of his aura as he said coldly. Since he was going to look strong, he might as well act arrogantly since it will be more realistic.
The mindsets of the people from the dungeon are very straight forward.
If you did not have strength, people will look down on you. But if you have sufficient strength, they will respect you. Strong people act arrogantly and proud while the weak obedient towards them. They use the law of jungle to extreme.
The guard's face turned ugly. He felt a terrifying aura from Killian. A chill passed down to his bones and shivered.
He doesn't know Killian. He never seen him before. However feeling Killian's murderous aura he was terrified.
"Please wait here. I'll call the general right away."
The guard hastily went over to report.
After waiting for a while, Carnoal arrived with a smile. He quickly dismissed the guards and led Killian into his room.
"My apologies. l cannot personally wait for you since I'm currently busy with the recruits."
Killian nodded. For someone like Carnoal, it was no surprise he was extremely busy.
"So what should I do."
Killian asked.
"You don't have to join the rookie's activities like training. I'll directly send you to the battlefield. Even now the situation in the front line is not favorable for us. We need every strength we can get."
Carnoal said with a grave tone. Demi-humans are not a very strong race compared to others. Its no surprising the demi-humans were at a losing.
With the losing front, Carnoal doesn't want to let someone strong to be idle with unimportant matters.
"We planned to send a new wave of reinforcements to the front lines. You can join it. I'll put you into that. Wait for a moment."
Carnoal said and called someone. A large demi-human walked into the room. He looks like a muscular brute.
"This is Naha. He will be leading this reinforcement troops."
Naha nodded and looked at Killian arrogantly. He seems to think lowly of Killian. However Killian didn't bother with him.
Its natural that Naha doesn't think much of him. Not all demi-humans have senses like Carnoal. Thus unless Killian purposely let out his aura, Naha would never find out his strength. Not everyone has danger sense abilities like Carnoal.
Also people like them were praised by the whole kingdom as heroes and extremely arrogant. Killian had no intention to bother with such frogs in the well.
"By the way, what is your speciality."
Carnoal asked.
"I mainly use magic."
Killian answered shortly. He doesn't want to show off too much of his power. There is a chance that magic emperor might be watching.
Since he could created a dungeon to this extend, he would definitely be a powerful person. If he was a player, he is most likely at least level-8 or higher.
Killian planned to be a mage since he had disguised as one before.
Carnoal nodded and did not ask anymore. The objective is to defeat the enemies. It doesn't matter what methods Killian uses. He only asked because of his curiosity.
If Killian doesn't want to tell, he won't ask anymore. In truth there are even dark magicians in every kingdoms.
As long as Killian can defeat the enemy, it will be a win. The method he used doesn't matter. For races like goblins, orcs and trolls, dark magic is basically their tradition. Sometimes they need to counter the dark magic back with the dark magic.
On the outside world, dark magic is strictly forbidden. However inside this dungeon, many dangerous and forbidden methods were available.
There is no cheating nor dirty as winning is everything. Every kingdoms want to win. Thus they will not forbid methods used by their soldiers. After all history was written by victors. As long as you have the last laugh, who cares about the loser.

Killian followed Naha to the army grounds. He saw an reinforcement army of demi-humans. The army consists of a thousand demi-human soldiers. Killian scanned the army.
They are all normal soldier level and even Naha is only at the level of a normal knight. There is no one outstanding among them. Even at the level of civilizations in this dungeon, this army is still extremely weak.
"Is this all the soldiers?"
Killian asked Naha doubtfully. A thousand of bottom tier soldiers army is too little.
"Yes. There are a total of a thousand soldiers in this reinforcements army. Carnoal decided this number."
Naha replied.
"Why would Carnoal sent this insignificant army as reinforcements."
Killian thoughts. Carnoal definitely knew this army won't be much of a help for the front lines. In the chaotic war of nine races, this amount of reinforcement is totally negligible. Its like trying to put out a huge fire with a drop of water.
"Or is it because of me?"
Killian made a guess. Its very likely. Carnoal only sent a thousand soldiers with him. Its might be a test for Killian. Carnoal also wanted to put Killian take majority of the pressure to preserve the kingdom's troops.
Killian snorted coldly. This trick was very obvious. Carnoal didn't seem to be wanting to cover it at all.
After all every soldiers want to prove themselves when they first entering the war. Carnoal thought Killian might wanted to set his battle records. However that logic doesn't apply to Killian.
Killian's only intention is to pass the floor trial. It doesn't matter whatever the demi-humans think of him. Their strength is too insignificant. They are all ants to him. Who cares about what ants think.
Carnoal seem to put much belief in his status within the kingdom. He thought Killian won't kill him just because he was one of the most important general. He might thought Killian will not challenge the kingdom since he was always remained hidden from war. Carnoal is overconfident.
Killian sneered. A mere NPC wanted to make use of him. He is simply seeking death.
