Nevertheless he chose to absorb it. The rewards are just too much to ignore.
He will become at least twice as much stronger than before and he will have easier time in future.
"It will take ten days. I'll leave the defense to you."
Killian said to his generals and walked to the throne.
"We won't let you down my king."
Evilyn, Dustain, Lukia, Devlian and Veras all of them are ready for war.
When Killian reaches the throne, the darkness swallows him, the throne and the holy grail. It looks like a huge dark chrysalis.
Everyone looked at each other and return to their posts. They have to protect this chrysalis for ten days.
In the merchant kingdom,
All of the kingdoms have agreed to attack the dark forest. Since Sam personally went there, no one dares to decline.
They all formed an alliance to attack the dark forest.
The only kingdom that declined was the kingdom of Laria. Lukia revealed he was a servant of Killian, shocking everyone.
The kingdoms were shocked because Lukia was willing betrayed and joined the demons.
Lukia didn't plan to deceive them since his disguises won't work in front of Sam.
However even if Sam knows currently he doesn't have time to deal with that. He need to get back the holy grail. Every second is precious to him right now.
Sam received a warning from the system that Killian had started to absorb the holy grail. He immediately ordered the alliance to mobilize their armies.
He doesn't have dark portals like Killian. But he has mass teleportation skill. Its a skill that can teleport large armies. It was better in teleporting armies.
It was cheaper than dark portals when teleporting a huge army. But its not worth when teleporting a small amount of people.
In Day 2,
All the armies arrived at the southwest of the dark forest. Sam teleported all the armies there.
In the alliance army,
Mages from the kingdom of Eylans, led by their archmage,
the elven army, led by prince and princess of the elven kingdom,
the mercenaries from the merchant kingdom, led by the mercenary leader,
soldiers from the Tetrad Alliance, led by their three generals,
and lastly the crusaders and priests, led by the holy lord, Sam.
They surrounded the dark forest. To be exact its not even looks like a forest anymore. Killian constructed many defensive towers and walls.
It was a huge base. The dark miasma was flowing through out the base. The alliance armies can feel unpleasant feeling coming from the dark miasma.
Its more like a demon king territory. A huge wall separated the alliance armies and the chaos base.
On the wall there are undead archers standing in line. Behind them were armored undeads guarding them.
Sam snorted. The alliance army bring out war machines such as battering rams, catapults and escalades.
Escalades are war machines that has a huge ladder to climb the enemy defensive walls mainly used in siege warfare.
"Now we will attack the devil's territory. Fight with everything you got. If we fail, the entire continent will fall into devil's hands.
Our people and families will become the slaves of demons and will be slaughtered like pigs and cows.
This is holy war. A war against the devils. For the peace of Alizena. For the safety our people, we shall prevail.
We will send the devils back to the abyss where they belong."
Sam gave speech to the alliance armies. The whole army can hear his voice.
"For the peace of Alizena. For the holy lord."
The alliance armies cheers sounded through the land.
"Attack!"
Sam gave the final order to strike.
