For most, the starting skill is a standard occupational skill. You know one you would learn just by doing that action over and over. Like swordplay for example. Some rare few, however, have special skills that can't be learned. The likely hood of getting a special skill increases when your parents have special skills, often times the child will inherit one of their parent's skills. Many noble families have such inherited special skills.

I come from one of those noble houses. Unfortunately, however, I didn't inherit either of my parents' special skills at 13. Instead, I got a skill called Love Lotto. If my family was cruel it might make it better. But when you see everyone else doing everything for you with a smile on their face while you can do nothing, it truly hurts.

Now I found a machine with a broken heart. It used pity points. Unlike the other two machines it only had an X1 Draw button. It had no X11. I had no clue what this did but it can't be worse than my current situation. So I pushed the draw X1 button.

Suddenly a silver ball with a heart indented in it came out of the Machine. It glowed for a second and an image showed up, The image showed a blonde girl with long hair and green eyes. She looked me up and down then looked at her left hand. There was a black mark around her ring finger. An annoyed look appeared on her face. "Why are you here alone and unarmed in such a place?"

"It's like this…" I explained the situation.

"So you had no choice but to summon me huh." Maria's expression lightened. "What sort of monsters are in this dungeon?"

"Flaming lions about double the size of a normal lion," I replied.

"I doubt I'll be able to take on down then. Looks like you have to summon more people with your despicable skill." She said shaking her head.

"Didn't I explain that it is useless?" I said dejectedly.

"You call a skill that summons contracted servants useless? She said raising her left hand. "Look at my ring finger, that is a servant seal. I can't run or disobey even if I wasn't trapped here. You think I want to help a pathetic guy like you?"

"I didn't know! I'm really sorry." I apologized

"I don't want your apologies, I want to get out of here!" She said angrily

"I honestly have no clue how to get my skill to work. I need 100 love points to draw but in 5 years I've only ever gotten 69." I explained.
