I took a quick step towards it and then slammed my weapon into its face, oblivious to the critical hit massage that flashed on the screen as soon as I had completed the move.
I withdrew and removed the blade from the zombie's head before watching it twitch erratically as its health point (HP) gradually decreased until it reached zero.
When its HP reached zero, it stopped moving and fell forward, hitting the concrete of the street with its face first.
After a second, it vanished into a cloud of purple smoke that smelled repulsively like urine and crap, and it went out with a bang. Ugh.
I noticed that it rewarded me with almost twenty percent of XP and that it left some loot, and I was about to move towards it to see what I had gotten when I heard more groans and snarls, and when I turned towards further forward on the street, I saw at least twenty zombies moving slowly but purposefully towards me. I ran away as quickly as I could.
It would take less than a minute for them to get to me, and I didn't want to be caught off guard. If the zombies hadn't been such obvious and slow opponents, however, I probably would have been caught off guard because I was so focused on getting the loot.
I was able to recall a feature that would assist me in resolving that issue in a matter of seconds, at which point I chuckled as I looked at the approaching zombies.
I said, "Enable Auto-Loot," and then I watched as the loot from the first zombie I killed vanished. At the same time, an icon in the shape of a back with a red six pointed star appeared in the lower left corner of my head-up display, and it would occasionally wiggle.
It would serve me best to leave that option active at all times so that no one ever questions why dead bodies would drop items after their owners have been killed.
Simply the fact that they vanished without a trace raises enough red flags to warrant further investigation.
With my undivided attention focused on the approaching horde of undead, I flashed a grin and flourished my sword.
I surprised them by suddenly materialising in front of them, using flash step to increase my speed, and then, with a swing of my weapon, I dispatched the second zombie of the session with a plainly fatal blow.
Once I had stabilised myself on the ground, I threw a roundhouse kick with my foot, which caused a third zombie to leap off the ground and collide with two of its comrades.
At the same time, I used the free hand on my other hand to cast a Mana Blast, which caused three more zombies to flee while scrambling hysterically.
I observed that the zombies that I had not yet eliminated had been dealt significant damage, albeit not as much as a typical blow from my blade would have caused.
I was aware that if I used my long range skills, I would be able to kill all of them in a matter of minutes; however, I had a grinding strategy in which I would use only short- and medium-range fighting against these ones and use my long range skills to deal with the monster.
In this manner, I will be able to safely level up both sets of talents at approximately the same rate of progression.
A grin that is becoming increasingly vicious I stared at the gathering of zombies that had all of a sudden become less certain of getting an easy meal.
"Let's dance."

[An additional title has been acquired through the completion of a special deed!]
[Undead Hunter]
[Obtained by killing a total of one hundred different undead.
You have a unique skill as well as a strong interest in eradicating the living dead.
When attacking undead, your damage will be increased by 60 percent.
When attacking undead, your defence will be increased by 60%.
All statistics are increased by 10 when combating undead.
The increase in VIT can be attributed to the severe physical activity and strain that has been placed on the body.
The STR has increased by five as a direct result of the high physical exercise and tension!
Because of the intense physical exercise and tension, DEX has increased by a factor of five!

I couldn't help but grin as notice after notification began to emerge on my head-up display (HUD) as the last zombie of the horde vanished in a little explosion of foul-smelling smoke.
When I was superior to them in terms of speed, strength, and intelligence, it was a laughable piece of cake for me to dispose of one hundred zombies.
It was easy to achieve success with this tactic; all that was required was to maintain constant movement while eliminating the threat at a rate high enough that it left them no time to respond.
After gaining those levels, the first thing I noticed was a large increase in my strength, and then I noticed the subsequent passive boost it provided me to my health and my magic power, along with everything else that is related to those things.
After that, I experienced even another gain in power as a result of the enhancements to my VIT, STR, and DEX.
Simply having that made me far more powerful than I had been when I had initially entered the ID.
Inadvertently, I equipped my new title, which brought to my attention the thirty-five points that I already have and that I was planning to use in the near future.
The second thing that struck me was how, in comparison to the previous day's grind, the level of the skill that I had been utilising consistently during the fight had increased by an exorbitant amount.
Observe reached level thirteen, and its cost decreased to such an extent that I was able to keep it running without worrying that I would be squandering mana that I could put into another strategy.
Now Observe is going to tell me the person's statistics in addition to their feelings and potentially even their background story.
Detect bloodlust experienced a significant boost in both its accuracy and its range as a direct result of the zombies' increased motivation to inflict pain on me.
Reinforcement reached level fifteen, with its bonus increasing and the amount of MP it cost decreasing as it levelled up.
This was all thanks to the fact that I used it so frequently while I was fighting, which allowed it to level up quickly.
Additionally, Mana Blast went beyond level 10, and the overall quality of the talent was significantly enhanced.
Since weapon manufacture was an active talent with passive features, it did not improve; nonetheless, I got priceless experience in the use of a sword and brought my Sword Mastery level up to fifteen.
It is now sitting comfortably at level ten because I let zombies bit me in really sensitive spots, which I won't go into details into explaining because of reasons.
In order to level up my physical endurance, I let some zombies bite me, and the level now sits comfortably at level ten.
The bits felt as if the part of my body that they were biting was under the influence of pain-numbing narcotics because my Iron Skin gave them that impression. This meant that even though I could feel them biting into my flesh, it did not hurt.
Hand-to-Hand Combat levelled up to level fifteen as a result of my continued use of kicks when battling the zombies, and it was now providing a nice bonus to my STR and DEX equal to twenty-five percent of the base stats.
This added to the power boost that I was already receiving as a result of the natural rise of those stats that occurred as a result of engaging in continuous and physical conflict.
Even though I had fought one hundred zombies, the most that I could call an improvement was that much, and I was still not happy.
It was possible for me to improve my strength right now, and that is precisely what I did. I brought up the stats window just as I heard the desperate and horrified groans of zombies beginning to congregate a few hundred feet in front of me on the middle of the street. I promptly discarded enough points in WIS to get it to fifty, and then I proceeded to run away from the zombies.
