A noticeable distortion in the form of a crescent moon appeared on the air itself in less than 10 seconds after the phenomenon began.

[A unique action has resulted in the development of a new ability.] The ability known as "Flying Swallow" has just been developed.

Swallows that can fly. [0% chance] Active; Level 1 You are able to coerce the libertarian spirit of the air to do as you choose because you have learnt to control the wind, which is present everywhere. A razor-sharp sword fashioned from violent winds, capable of slicing through almost everything in its path. This ability inflicts cutting damage that is 1200% more than normal. Inflicts the status effect of "Bleeding" on the target. If a bodily part is cut, the amount of harm increases proportionally. [The price is 130 MP.]

I flashed a smile in the direction of the still-paralyzed zombie giant and flicked my hand in its direction after waiting for it to shakily gaze at me first.

The blade of wind travelled in a direct path towards the target it was intended for, and in fewer than two seconds, the massive right arm of the Legion Zombie was cleanly severed from the rest of its body at the shoulder.

This was accompanied by a spray of blood that was thick, black, and gelatinous. The severed arm crashed to the ground next to it on the wrecked street, the repulsive blood of the beast pooled underneath it as it writhed in an uncontrollable manner.

For its part, the Legion Zombie made an attempt to cry out in agony. I had already severed its windpipe, so there was no wind blowing through its vocal cords to produce sound.

As a result, it resembled a person dry heaving as its remaining arm went to grab the stump that remained where its other arm had been. I had previously severed its windpipe.

Despite the fact that this ability seemed to have less strength than Thunder Spear, I could see that beyond the zombie boss was a building that had a deep cutting into it, and I wasn't sure whether or not it stretched beyond that point.

[HP: 6474/15200

Legion Zombie is bleeding!]

If my calculations are correct, then I have successfully severed exactly twenty percent of its total health points.

This indicates that the damage done by severing a limb was directly proportional to the overall percent of the body part in relation to the body that was removed, and not the damage done by the skill that was used to do the skill, which I was sure would've done a lot less than what it did by severing the limb.

What made this ability so powerful, on the other hand, was the bleeding state, and I could see the Legion Zombie's health bar slowly deplete over the course of a few seconds as droplets of whatever was running through its circulatory system dropped into the pool created by the severed arm.

When I looked at the now enormous pool of the viscous, gelatinous fluid that was the blood of the Legion Zombie, it brought to my mind the fact that water was one of the elements I was now able to command, and that almost all liquids found within a "living" being were composed of water in some form or another.

So I concentrated my mana, completely ignoring the frantic Legion Zombie that was trying to move its arm that didn't exist, and I had it latch in the still growing pool of blood. I grinned when I realised that I had made a connection.

I merged my mana with the water that was in the blood that was on the street, and I started to direct it into a specific form.

As I did this, I watched as the pool of blood on the street stopped expanding, and crystal clear water began to rise from the centre of the pool, close to the arm that was on the floor.

The black substance started to dry out as the water level continued to rise until it was a shifting mass of clear liquid that churned this way and that.

The only thing keeping it from being like that was my will, which was powered by my mana.

I raised my hand, which had been clenched into a fist, and the waters became more tranquil as I focused more attention on them.

I then shaped the waters into a ball, which began to rise up and move away from Legion Zombie, who was now looking at the ball of water in bewildered pain.

It barely had time to open its lips and make a grab at the ball of water before I extended my palm and grinned like the madman I was certain I was.

Five thick tentacles emerged from various parts of the sphere and lashed out at the alarmed Legion Zombie. Just before they reached their target, the tips of the tentacles transformed into wicked pointed ends.

It made a sound that was moist, meaty, and revolting as two of the tentacles punctured its knees, while the other three penetrated its upper torso.

As the Legion Zombie's eyes widened in response to the excruciating pain, I twisted my wrist and slowly made a fist. At the same time, the tentacles wound themselves around the monster and held it in place.

[A unique action has resulted in the development of a new ability.] The new talent known as "Water Convergence" has been developed.

Confluence of the Waters Level one and active. [0.0%]. You now understand that water is a fluid, and because of this, you can only guide it; you can never really control it.

Water may flow and it may even follow the instructions that are given to it, but water will never obey. After it has been gathered into a sphere, the water contained inside it will comply with commands so long as mana is there. Price: sixty (60) MP Maintenance: 100 MP.]

When I saw the health bar of the antagonistic monster gradually decrease, I came to the conclusion that this strategy would prove to be very helpful.

I was able to shape the water that was collected in the spear into nearly anything as long as I continued to provide it with mana and I had a sufficient enough to make it a highly risky ability.

Also, the way I use it determines whether or not I am able to deliver consistent damage, exactly like in this case; however, I will need to level up first. That was not going to be too difficult for me to do given the new power that was available to me.

With that motion, the tentacles of water sent the undead titan tumbling to the ground with barely any effort, its injuries taking their toll on it.

I began to slowly approach the Legion Zombie while bringing my hand down firmly. I saw that its current health point total was already below three thousand and continuing to slowly decrease.

The beast was groaning in apparent pain, but I didn't give a rat's behind about what was happening to it. What I did give a rat's behind about, however, were the rewards that could be mine if I were to kill it.

After having that notion, I decided to disregard the Water Convergence approach, which resulted in the undead giant being even more drenched, and instead turned my attention to the last ingredient, which is the one I haven't used up to this point.

I concentrated on the ground under the Legion Zombie, and after I had channelled what I believed to be an adequate amount of mana, I stamped the ground, stopping for a second, and then violently lifting my hand upward, at which point my hand twisted into the shape of a spear.

It was at that precise moment that the Legion Zombie jerkily raised its head to look at me, but by that time it was too late to do anything about it.

It's remaining arm began to twitch. It was already, but it just didn't know it, and in its last minutes, it wanted to make one more attempt to resist destiny.

It was unfortunate for the Boss Mob, but it was not to be, as a spike sprang up from the ground at a high rate of speed and speared the zombie giant through the skull, all the way from the lower jaw to the top of its head.

[A unique action has resulted in the development of a new ability.] The ability known as "Earth Spike" has been developed.

Earth Spike is currently active at level one [0.0%]. The earth is a formidable and stubborn opponent, yet you have been able to subdue it and harness its power so that it may assist you in combat. Using this talent, you will be able to produce spikes out of the ground that you are currently standing on. Cost: 25 MP per Spike.]
