The cold wind blowing against his face felt chilly as Ezra sipped his iced coffee, causing him to shiver. Lately, the weather had been unpredictable, but this was nothing new in this city. Even during summer, there were nights when rain would unexpectedly fall.
"... Seems like those people screaming about climate change were right."
Muttering to himself, Ezra leaned down against the guardrail, gazing at the orange sunset's reflection on the lake. The cafe closed early today, and for some reason, he didn't feel like going straight back to his apartment.
Being alone in his room felt suffocating. His thoughts would wander all over the place, and right now, he could already sense his mind's incessant chatter.
If only he could detach his head for a while.
