Maybe because I'm used to being surrounded by heterosexual couples it was a bit of a shock for me.

Ezra half shouted, his voice a bit cracking at the end causing Ethan to look at him in surprise while laughing. "What's the matter, Ezra? Is your throat feeling sore? Haha, your voice sounds funny... Want me to grab you a glass of water?"
Ezra nodded swiftly, hoping a glass of water would bring relief to his throat.
"Oh yeah by the way Alex already paid for the pot so I signed as the recipient, they already left."
