Raphael knew that well— he had often heard about family members who only enjoyed the wealth but didn't work for the Winches, having their wealth completely taken away. It made them lose their properties and their prestige. It was a disgraceful fate. And it wasn't uncommon for them to develop resentment towards their own family and intend to harm the current heir sitting on the throne.
"I won't be the head of the Winchens family forever, what if the next heir regards you as a person who is unfavorable to the Winchens..."

Raphael chuckled, slightly joking at this serious conversation which made his father take a deep breath and then let it out a very long sigh, obviously didn't consider his small joke to be funny in the slightest.
