Chapter 12 - Goblin's King iii

Gundamma and the goblin king met in a dark, damp cave deep within the goblin's lair. They stood facing each other, their eyes locked in a fierce stare.

The werewolf king was a formidable sight, with his muscular build and piercing eyes. The goblin king was equally intimidating, his twisted features and sharp claws marking him as a creature of darkness.

"I have come to warn you of the arrival of Orin," Gundamma growled, his deep voice echoing off the cavern walls.

"He is a powerful sorcerer."

The goblin king sneered.

"What do I care about Orin and his trinket?" he spat.

"I have more pressing matters to attend to."

Gundamma stepped forward, his eyes blazing with anger.

"You should care, goblin," he said, his voice low and menacing.

"For I have been ordered by the fourth commander of the Demon Lord, Medanna, to retrieve the Staff of Death and to kill whoever owns it."

The goblin king's eyes narrowed.

"And why should I help you, werewolf?" he asked.

Gundamma smiled, a cruel twist of his lips.

"Because if you do, I will spare your life," he said. "And I will make sure that the Demon Lord rewards you handsomely."

The goblin king thought for a moment, considering the werewolf's offer. He knew that the Demon Lord was not to be trifled with, and the thought of facing Orin and his powerful magic made him uneasy.

He nodded, finally, a sinister grin spreading across his face.

"Very well, werewolf," he said.

"We have a deal."

Ein arrived back at the camp where Orin and Zarr were waiting. Orin could see from the look on Ein's face that the news he brought was not good.

Ein recounted out everything he had learned from the forest guardian, about the missing woman being taken as a sacrifice to the goblin king in exchange for peace.

Orin's expression darkened as he listened, and he turned to Zarr.

"Zarr, I need you to stay here and protect the women," Orin said to the baby wolf.

"Ein and I are going to go see the goblin king and try to find a way to stop this." Zarr nodded, his eyes determined.

Ein and Orin made their way through the throngs of goblin revelers, their eyes fixed firmly on their goal.

The smell of roasting meat and ale filled the air, and the sound of clinking glasses and raucous laughter echoed through the hall.

The two warriors made their way to the throne room, their weapons at the ready. As they entered, they saw the goblin king, a massive and imposing figure, seated on his throne, a goblet of mead in one hand.

"Who dares enter my court unannounced?" the goblin king bellowed, his eyes blazing with anger.

Ein stepped forward, his hand on his sword.

"We come to claim the woman you have taken prisoner," he said, his voice firm and unwavering.

The goblin king chuckled, a deep and guttural sound.

"You have courage, human, but it will avail you nothing. The woman is mine, and she is the gift, given to me."

"She is not," Ein said, his sword held at the ready.

"Release her, and all the captive you held."

The goblin king laughed again, a cruel sound.

"I will not be so easily swayed. You will have to fight then, and I have many warriors at my disposal."

With a roar, the goblin king signaled for his soldiers to attack, and Ein and Orin sprang into action. Ein's sword sliced through the air, striking down goblin after goblin, while Orin unleashed powerful magic, bolts of lightning and streams of fire raining down upon their enemies.

The goblin soldiers were caught off guard by the ferocity of the attack, and many fell before they even had a chance to defend themselves. But the goblin king was not to be underestimated.

He was a formidable foe, wielding a massive maul that he swung with deadly precision.

"That's not the artefacts." Orin thought himself.

Ein and Orin were forced to split up, each taking on several goblins at once. Ein's swordsmanship was unmatched, his blade whistling through the air as he parried and thrust, always pressing forward, always seeking an opening.

Orin, meanwhile, had never been more in his element. He was a master of the arcane, his spells taking on a life of their own as he called forth the elements to do his bidding.

With Ein and Orin continued to fight, their opponent's strikes grew more relentless. But Orin's mastery of magic proved to be the game changer, as he used his abilities to deflect and counter the goblins' attacks with ease.

His power was like a force of nature, unyielding and unstoppable. Meanwhile, Ein's swordplay was a blur of movement, cutting down the goblins one by one.

Just as they were gaining the upper hand, however, the sound of footsteps echoed through the room. A pack of werewolves burst into the throne room, their king at their head.

The king's eyes were fixed on Orin, and he let out a menacing growl.

"So, the sorcerer has come at last," he said.

"Medanna has been waiting for you. Give up the Staff of Death, or face the consequences."

Orin's eyes narrowed, and he raised his staff, ready to unleash its power. Ein stepped forward, his sword at the ready, but the werewolves were too many, and they quickly surrounded the two warriors.

The fight was brutal, with both Orin and Ein using their respective skills to the fullest. They fought with all their might, but the goblins and now a werewolfs were relentless, and both of their king was a formidable opponent.

In the end, it was a display of raw power that decided the outcome. Orin summoned a surge of magic, and with a mighty roar, he unleashed it upon the werewolves and goblins.

The force of the blast was enough to send the creatures flying, and when the smoke cleared, the king lay motionless on the ground.

Ein seized the opportunity, and with a fierce battle cry, he plunged his sword into the goblin king's heart. With the king defeated, the goblin soldiers scattered, and Orin took the goblin's king maul and destroyed it.

This attacked was a waste of his time. He does hope the goblin's king have one of the artefacts. Orin then turned to defeated Gundamma who's lying at side. Trying to stand up.

Gundamma saw Orin slowly walked to him.

"Even though you kill me here, they will only send another me to kill you. You, the one who hold the staff." Gundamma arrogantly smile.

"Run sorcerer, RUN. Medanna will hunt you, and when you have been capture, she will torture you as much as she wants."

Orin just smile with Gundamma warning. There's no fear inside his eyes. But in fact, he does look excited with Gundamma warning. Orin expression make Gundamma confuse. No one ever does that before.

"She is only the fourth. And I already defeat the second. Now tell me O Great Werewolf's King. Why should I be afraid of your words?" Orin asked.

Gundamma feel very humiliate with Orin action. He badly wants to strangle Orin. But he doesn't have any energy to move. Orin turned to join Ein and leaving Gundamma alone, lying at the wall.
