Chapter 172 - Chapter 172

'Urgh. You know I cannot stay here all day, right?'

I complain to Gaia because I can feel it does not like me stopping. It is like a Golden Retriever that still wants to play at the park and tries to make me stop from going home by whining and not moving its butt from the park.

After a few seconds, Gaia releases my 'hand,' but the pout remains there. However, Gaia perks up and disappears somewhere before I can escape my meditation world. When I open my eyes, I wonder if Gaia will cause something big or not.

However, if we look at my luck… It is the former instead of the latter.

Oh well. I will think of it later.

I get up from the ground and look around the room. This is the place Zelretch prepared for me, or rather, it is a place where one of the Noble Lords of the Clock Tower prepared for me. They want a piece of mana generator not too far away from their home, and in return, they will help me gather ingredients to create the servant card I want.

The Barthomeloi Family is willing to give me a piece of Percival's armor and all the ingredients to create his card in exchange for this.

I take a deep breath, feel the mana in the air, and notice it starts to get better. The mana vein underneath me also gets better and produces even more mana than before. Not only that, but the land around me also now has the capability of growing medical and magical herbs.

Unlike the soil in London, which is too polluted for mundane and magical reasons, here? It is a little bit better and easier to fix. It will not be a high-grade medical herb like the one back in Kyoto, but it is enough to make something that can heal small injuries or cure mundane illnesses.

The barrier that Zelretch created works perfectly. It ensures the mana the land produces does not leak to the outside world. I already see what this amount of mana can do to a person in this world.

It boils them from the inside out.

Zelretch had already told me that he would slowly leak the mana to make sure the humans of this world could adjust their bodies to the new environment. Humanity might be weak, but we are a race that can easily adapt to any new environment. That is how we survived back in the day, after all.

I leave the house and do some stretching. After doing that, I looked around and noticed that the dirt underneath me was greener and that the grass that grew in it was healthier than before. The natural energy that I release still remains and will slowly heal the flora in this area for a day.

I nod my head and turn around to see seven maids and two butlers already waiting for me outside the barrier. When I approach them, they give me a bow, and one of them says,

"Is there anything you need, my lord?"

"I am done for the day and a little bit peckish. Can you make lunch for me?"

"Of course, my lord. We will prepare the table and chair for you. Is there anything you prefer?"

"I am carving for some steak. You can choose the other dishes that you think will be a good pairing for a steak. As for drink… Wine will do. The desert… Something that is not too sweet."

The butler nods his head and says.

"We will prepare for your food, my lord. For now, please have some rest."

I nod and follow one of the maids to the chair they already prepared. I blink for a second because I know it is not there a second before. I shrug and sit while the maid ensures I am comfortable.

Man, these people treat me like royalty. Even the people in Kyoto do not treat me like this, and they already know that I am their Queen's husband.

I guess I understand the reason why. I am their salvation to further their experiment and get closer to their goal. Unlimited mana is no joke, after all. While waiting for my food, I take out the frame for my Lancer Card.

At the moment, it is just the barebone of the Card Class with no Heroic Spirit imprint in it. For now, I take out a bone of Light Spirit given to me by Lorelei, the Vice Director of the Clock Tower. According to her, it is a spirit born from Albion that is buried underneath the Clock Tower.

If Ddraig sees his rival end in this world, he will either laugh to death or go on a rampage because the Albion in this world carries his name as well. You never know with a dragon.

I shake my head and start to turn the bone into dust. After doing that, I carefully use my mana, chakra, and natural energy to infuse the bone powder in the card frame. This is my third time creating a card class, and my infusion technique has gotten faster.

The infusion technique is a way of making a thread of bone and a combination of energy within me. I need to sew the bone through the card frame and make sure it creates a stable energy output and input.

I snap from my thoughts and put the card back to my requip magic when I see the food has arrived. The butler puts down the plate of food and says.

"For the appetizer, it is–"

However, before he can even say what my appetizer is, my instinct screams at me, and I jump away just in time to see a massive four-legged creature land not too far away from us. It has white fur and four horns coming out of its head that burn with black flames.

With my sword in hand and my Sage Mode activated, I look at the creatures, but my eyes land on the thing on top of the creature.

It is a little girl with pitch-black hair and red eyes. She has an innocent-looking face, but the expression she wears and the void in her eyes make the alarm in my mind blaring. However, what seals the deal is the energy that she releases. It feels like blood and murder, just like the beast underneath her.

She looks at me for a few seconds before saying.

"My name is Altrouge Brunestud, and this is Primate Murder."

She jumps off the beast and bows at me.

"Send by Gaia, I shall be your protector."

Goddamit, Gaia! I don't need this kind of heat!
