I can see it. I can experience it.
My name is Deinhevno or Guard-Brutal in the Slave's Tongue.
…
I know my duty. I serve Alduin Forevermore.
…
The slave is rising up. One of them wields the power of Thu'um! Someone betrayed us!
…
Paarthurnax betrayed us! He killed me! No matter! My master will resurrect me!
…
I have been reborn! My master has returned, and I shall spread destruction in his name!
…
No! Dovahkiin! My master shall avenge me!
I take a deep breath as a flash of memories appears in my head. It is just a flash of memories from Deinhevno, the dragon I killed, and from within my soul, a word appears in my mind, and Deinhevno's soul empowers this word.
KREH
This word means 'bend' in Dragon Tongue, and this is a new power word other than the Thu'um I already know from the game version. This word can bend anything. It can even bend space to teleport my enemy away or toward me at its full power.
This is a great power. I cannot wait to test it. As I am about to test my new shout, I can feel someone getting near me.
"Y-You are Dragonborn."
I turn around and see Carcette look at me in shock, awe, and respect. There is no hint of fear in those eyes. I can only nod and say.
"I-I don't know. I can feel my body and soul get stronger, but I don't know if I am a dragonborn."
"Then try to shout. I hear that a Dragonborn can't shout after they absorb a dragon's soul."
I look at the nearby trees and take a deep breath. I look at the tree and open my mouth.
"Fus Ro Dah!"
The others look at the destruction I do to the forest in front of me. They are not the only ones who look at it in shock. I also look at the destruction in front of me in shock. The Unrelenting Force shout is strong and can push away a dragon without any problem.
However, this one is so strong that it creates a massive hole in the mountain behind the forest. Now I understand when Akatosh says that Dragonborn can destroy a world if they grow long enough and eat enough dragons.
They are the ultimate dragon slayer, and after eating Alduin, the World Eater, the Dragonborn will have the ability to destroy the world.
I only devoured one soul and have already done this much damage. I wonder if I can drill a hole in a mountain after eating five souls.
I look to the side and see Carcette look at me with a new light.
"You are a Dragonborn."
"It looks like I am a Dragonborn. Will this change things between us?"
"What?! No! We are even more honored to have a Dragonborn as a member of the Vigilants of Stendarr. We know that we can beat the Daedra and all Night Creatures in the world."
"And you are right. However, we need to help the others for now, and I feel that Jarl wants to meet me."
Carcette nods her head and says.
"Yeah, you are right."
She then looks at the Dragon's bones on the ground and continues.
"What should we do with these bones?"
=//=
After dragging the dragon's bones to the city and healing all the injured people from the fight, Jarl asked me to come and meet him.
I give a nod to the guard calling for me and follow him to the White Hall, where the Jarl is already waiting for me. This time, he looked at me with a new light. Now, he did not look at me as if I were one of the commoners but rather as someone who deserves his attention.
After the first minute of introduction and some polite greetings, the Jarl looks at me and says,
"With the power bestowed upon me as the Jarl of the Pale, I grant you the title of the Thane of the Pale for the accomplishment and service you have done to the Pale."
I kneel in front of him and say.
"Thank you, my Jarl."
He nods his head and says.
"Sadly, we didn't have anyone who could be your Housecarl at the moment, as the last one was already taken by the Thane before you."
"I don't mind it, my Jarl. As I will wander around Skyrim and help the people of Skyrim against the dragon and the Daedra."
"Ah, I see. After all, you are the honorary member of the Vigilants of Stendarr."
"Yes, my Jarl."
"Very well! To compensate for this, I shall give you one thousand gold for this. Once you are done on your journey and want to settle in our beautiful city, I shall give you a Housecarl."
"Of course, my Jarl."
He nods and says.
"Other than Gold, I shall grant you this weapon from my personal blacksmith."
A Breton woman walks forward with armor in her hand.
"Take this armor. This is Frost Armor. It is an enchanted steel armor that will keep you warm, always fit on your body, and offer resistance against magical attack."
I take the armor and say.
"Thank you, my Jarl. I shall use this armor for the good of the people."
"Good. Lastly, as my new Thane, you can now buy a home in Pale. Talk to my steward if you want to buy a house."
"I will, my Jarl. For now, can I excuse myself? I still need to help others."
"You may go."
I nod and leave the White Hall. However, as I leave the White Hall, I blink in surprise as I see a Nord man flying toward us while riding a bucket underneath him. I look at the guard, and I can see an awkward expression on his face as she says.
"That man is just like you, a Dragonborn."
I look at the man who is coming at us and can only think one thing.
Goddammit, Tod!
