Chapter 26 - An offer

Meanwhile back inside Veronica's hotel.

"Hey, why are you kicking me out, I don't wanna leave. William!" Veronica exclaimed as she looked at William annoyedly and resisted by pushing him toward the bed and jumping on him. In that position, her boobs were pressing against his chest and her face was a few inches away from him. Both of them had sex too many times already but still, there was something about William that made Veronica addicted. She couldn't get over the feeling of being loved by him.

Indeed, she had heard many stories about vampires that said that if a vampire bites someone, then they can't resist the temptation of getting close to them. But this was not the case with her, William didn't do anything to her; he didn't even bite her. She was still human and was in control of her senses. Even then, she was feeling somewhat different and wanted to stay beside him; maybe it was his charm that she wasn't able to resist.

"It's morning and it's late, just go to your room. You haven't slept the entire night and Roselyn is also awake now. You don't want her to see you in this condition, Veronica. I wonder how she will react after seeing her mother naked in my arms," William said with a mischievous smile as he teased her. Veronica's face turned red as she heard William's words.

"Is she really awake?" Veronica looked at William and asked with wide-open eyes.

"Yes, she is. Don't worry, I'll go and fetch her. You go to your room and take some good rest without worrying about anything. Whatever happened last night is on me. I don't think those people are going to back down that easily, they will definitely return," In an instant, William changed his position and flipped Veronica to lie on top of her.

Veronica's facial expression turned sour as she looked at William with a bitter smile.

"This happened because of me. Those people were after me and you had to kill them to save me and my daughter. I feel bad knowing that you had to kill those people right after waking up from your slumber..."

Veronica was in the middle of finishing her sentence when William placed a finger on her lips and looked at her with a gentle smile, "I am not feeling disgusted or anything after killing those insects. I have slain countless unimaginable creatures and mythical beings, to say nothing of humans. This is not the first time I killed a human being, sometimes humans can be more dreadful than any other creature out there. So don't feel bad for me, no matter who they are, I will kill them again if they come after you. Instead of worrying about these things, just leave them in my hand," William said as he kissed Veronica's forehead and looked at her with a smile.

Upon hearing William's words, Veronica's face turned red and her heart started beating like a war drum. This was the first time she felt that way. No one told her those kinds of things with those innocent eyes. Everyone lusted for her because of her body and beauty, but none of them were honest with her. Right now, there was no hint of lust or perversion in William's eyes, he was really being honest with her.

"Why are you telling me such embarrassing stuff? I am just a normal woman who can't even protect herself," Veronica whispered glumly. Upon hearing her words, William chuckled and caressed her lips with his thumb.

"You are a pretty special human. Your bloodline is very different from other humans. That's the only reason I came to you. You pulled me toward you last night. If you ever want to be strong, I can always turn you into a vampire. Then, you can live with me blissfully for eternity and serve me as my woman," William whispered as he rubbed his nose against her nose and then gently licked her lips while looking into her eyes.

Upon listening to the words of promise from William's mouth, she felt a tingling sensation between her legs and felt like accepting his proposal, but she controlled her emotions when she thought of Roselyn and took a deep breath.

William noticed the confused expression on her face and could understand what was going on in her mind; she was likely thinking about Roselyn. If she had no responsibility, she would have definitely accepted his offer without giving it a second thought. But she had a little girl to take care of and it was not up to her to decide Roselyn's fate. Roselyn was born human and she had no right to turn her into a vampire for her own sake.

"It's okay, don't think about that for now. Your little girl has woken up and needs her Mumma beside her," William told Veronica as she nodded her head with a smile.

"Will you come with me? She will be happy to see you?" She asked expectantly.

"Why not? I like your girl, she is indeed a cute and intelligent child," William responded to her with a smile. Veronica chuckled upon hearing those words from his mouth. No matter how powerful he was, he was inside the body of a young boy. William saw through her look and heaved a sigh knowing that she was right. He was indeed stuck inside the body of his younger self.
