A child, approximately 10 years old, stood by the window, gazing at the moon. This child was none other than Ray Denmark, dressed comfortably in his night clothes. With a height of around 4 feet, his face still bore the innocence of youth, lacking the defined features of adolescence. He had a fair complexion, cyan hair, and blue eyes.
However, there was something peculiar about those eyes. They seemed to hold a depth and maturity beyond his young age, as if they carried a story waiting to be unfolded.
As Ray murmured to himself, his hands rose to his face, lightly slapping his cheeks.
"Let's organize the information," he declared.
"According to my memories, the person in those memories died at the age of 23."
In a peculiar yet endearing tone, he mumbled, "Hmmm," adding a touch of cuteness to his musings.
Delving deeper into his memories, Ray continued his contemplation.
"I have several questions that remain unanswered due to a lack of information. They are as follows:"
"Firstly, who is the person from my memories who died, and where exactly is that person now?"
"If I assume that the person from my memories is me and I died, am I now reincarnated or transmigrated? This doesn't seem like your typical isekai or similar setting."
Further reflecting on his thoughts, Ray stated, "This world is not the same as the one in my memories. It is either an entirely different world or the same world in a different era. In my previous world, magic and swords were not widely known, and swords were considered relics of the past. Even if that world possessed the power to destroy a kingdom, it stemmed from atomic bombs."
"And if I died, who or what brought me here?"
"Lastly, the most important question is: Who am I? Am I the person from the memories or the one called Ray? Or perhaps... both?"
He let out a sigh. Regardless of whether he was alive or dead, things had become incredibly perplexing.
"These worries are futile. They won't bring me any closer to the answers I seek; they will only fuel my anxiety. I should set these concerns aside and focus on gathering information to find the answers," he resolved.
So, he continued to watch the moon.
=============================================================(Author's note: Let me clarify a few things in case there is any confusion.
Ray is contemplating whether he is the person from his memories, exploring every possible scenario. He questions the nature of the world he finds himself in, whether it is a different world or a different era. Most importantly, he is questioning his own identity. I hope this clarifies Ray's situation.)
