Kevin declared, "Alright, let's begin with some running around the mansion!"
Ray's eyes widened in disbelief as he processed Kevin's words. Running? That was not exactly what he had in mind for his first training session. He looked at Kevin's face, hoping to detect a hint of amusement, but to his surprise, Kevin appeared dead serious. Ray couldn't help but feel a mixture of confusion and apprehension.
Trying to lighten the mood, Ray joked, "So, after the running, am I also expected to do push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups, and squats?"
Kevin's expression turned even more surprised, catching Ray off guard.
With genuine concern in his voice, Kevin asked, "How did you know? Who told you about the additional exercises?"
Ray's eyes widened in shock ,and replied, "I don't want to end up bald,Kevin."
Kevin with amused face said, "You won't end up being bald, now run!"
Ray took a deep breath, mentally preparing himself for the challenge ahead. He realized that complaining or resisting wouldn't get him anywhere. He had promised his father that he would embark on this training journey, and he intended to keep his word.
As Ray began to run, he found himself surprisingly enjoying the activity. It was invigorating, and he felt a sense of freedom as his feet carried him around the mansion. In that moment, he understood that pushing past his limits and embracing discomfort was essential for growth.
However, as Ray reached the halfway point, his heart started pounding rapidly, and his body grew tired. Despite the physical strain, he maintained a determined smile. The feeling he experienced was indescribable, a mix of exhaustion and exhilaration that made him realize the importance of pushing through challenges.
With great effort, Ray managed to complete the run around the mansion. Yet, as he reached the final stretch, his body gave way, and he collapsed onto the ground. He lay there for a moment, gasping for breath, waiting for someone to come to his aid. But no one appeared. It was in that moment of solitude that he realized he had to rely on himself.
Taking a deep breath, Ray picked himself up, his resolve unwavering. He understood that no one else could lift him up; it was up to him to rise and face the next challenge.
After catching his breath and allowing his body to recover, Ray approached Kevin, who wore a smirk of satisfaction. Ray's trembling hand betrayed his fatigue as he asked, "What's next, Kevin?"
Kevin's smile widened as he replied, "Now it's time for push-ups."
Ray's tired body trembled, and for a brief moment, he had the urge to retaliate against Kevin's smug expression. But he knew that he still lacked the strength to do so. Taking a deep breath, he pushed aside his fatigue and prepared himself for the next exercise.
With each subsequent exercise, Ray pushed himself further, enduring the physical strain and silently cursing Kevin's training regimen. The thought of giving up crossed his mind, but he quickly dismissed it. He knew that perseverance and dedication were the only paths to growth.
As Ray completed the training session, exhaustion took hold. He dragged himself to the bathing area, feeling a mix of pain and accomplishment. Despite the soreness and fatigue, he couldn't help but smile. The pain he experienced during training paled in comparison to the torment of his memories. He knew that enduring these challenges was necessary for his growth.
Climbing into bed, Ray reflected on the day's events. The path ahead seemed long and arduous, but he was determined to face whatever came his way. Two years of this intense training regimen may be challenging, but Ray was ready to embrace the journey.
(Author's note:
If given the choice between going bald and gaining overwhelming power or summoning shadows, which would you choose? But remember, you'll be bald! XOXO.
And for those curious, "Hajime" means "begin" or "start" in Japanese.
Ciao!)
