It's a stormy night around the land. The dark clouds surround the entire region. And the rain was so intense that it nearly flooded the village. The mentioned village is called Lizaro. It's a place that is hidden within a forest full of giant lizards and other normal animals.
A black dragon, that was just flying over the village, was startled by a lightning strike, and that caused it to drop a red and yellow colored egg. The egg landed softly as it was caught on a tree branch.
The black dragon swoops down to grab it. But as it tried to, it accidentally knocked the egg off the tree branch. The fact that it has very short limbs didn't make it easier for it to grab the egg before it falls to the ground and rolls down until it reaches the village.
The dragon flies after it to try and grab it, but it was rolling so fast that it was impossible for it to even touch it. So it just gives up and flies away.
The egg rolls endlessly until it reaches the feet of a young boy, who was playing in the rain.
"Huh? Woah! A Dragon Egg! I heard stories about these kinds of eggs! I wonder if this egg will hatch soon!"- the boy.
He picks up the egg and runs back to his house.
"Ty! You shouldn't be out in this kind of weather! Look at you! You're all soaked and wet! And- what's that you're holding, dear?"- the lady.
"Look at this, ma! It's a Dragon egg!"- Ty.
"I never thought such a thing was native to our village. Where did you get it, Ty? Dragon Eggs are said to have existed somewhere else in the sky."- the lady, pondering.
"I'm not really sure where it came from. But can we keep it?"- Ty.
"It could belong to someone from the Kingdom of Dragoon. We shouldn't take something from others without permission."- the lady.
"Aww. But I was hoping to hatch it."- Ty.
"Well, since we can't fly up there. I suppose we can take care of it."- the lady, sighing.
"Yay!"- Ty, happy.
But we'll eventually have to return it once we find its original home. We're not adopting it for good."- the lady.
"Yes, mom."- Ty.
"Keep it warm with you when you go to bed. Otherwise, it'll never hatch. It must be incubated."- the lady.
"Don't know what incubated means but I'll take good care of this egg! What should we name it?"- Ty.
"Once it hatches, you'll see. Dragon Eggs are said to hatch in at least a couple of days."- the lady.
"Two days? Oh, I can't wait!"- Ty.
And so, Ty has been taking care of the Dragon Egg for two days. However, during the morning after the number of days, since he discovered the Dragon Egg, it's still close to hatching. So, it hasn't hatched yet. After waking up, he places the egg on the breakfast table. He then lets out a disappointed and impatient sigh.
"What's wrong, Ty?"- the lady.
"It's been a couple of days already. But I don't see a single crack."- Ty.
"Patience is a virtue, dear. I said AT LEAST a couple of days. It might take longer than that."- the lady.
"I know. But I really want to see the dragon. This waiting is killing me!"- Ty.
Suddenly, a loud banging noise is coming from the door.
"I'm coming!"- the lady.
She walks over to the door to see who was knocking so loudly. As she opens it, the injured villager was the cause of the noise.
"Lora..."- the villager.
"What's wrong, Grant?! Are you alright?!"- Lora.
"Mr. Grant! What happened to you?!"- Ty, rushing to them with worry.
"I'm alright, Ty. But Russell won't be, I'm afraid. We went outside the village to hunt for some food. But this black lizard attacked us. I tried to fight it off, but I wasn't strong enough. And it took my son, Russell."- Grant.
"That's awful! I wish there was something we can do!"- Lora, terrified at the news and worried for Russell's safety.
