Ty thinks deeply in his head about finding Russell and saving him.
"I'll rescue him!"- Ty.
"Wh-what?! Out of the question! Ty, you're just a child!"- Lora.
"She's right! I appreciate you wanting to save my son, but you should let the authorities handle this."- Grant.
"Russell is still my best friend! I'm not staying in this stupid house not doing anything! I'm going to save him!"- Ty.
"Ty... You have the potential to be the strongest person in our village, and your bravery is what I like about you. But you're too young to be in a dangerous place alone, without the help of some of our troops. If you wanna go to the forest, you can. But we're coming with you. We gotta keep you safe."- Grant.
"Mr. Grant..."- Ty.
"But what about your injuries?"- Lora.
"I still got some fight left in me. Anyway, Lora, the reason why I came to you is so that you can help. You can calm an aggravated lizard down, right?"- Grant.
"That is what I'm capable of, yes. I can even placate the black lizards, who are said to be the most endangered lizards in the forest. Once it's relaxed, we can rescue your son without any conflict."- Lora.
"Then coming to you was a smart move on my part. Ty, are you ready? I'll notify the village troops and you guys can wait for me at the plaza when you're prepared."- Grant, happily.
"Okay, Mr. Grant!"- Ty, affirmative.
"Alright. I'll be going."- Grant, leaving.
Lora closes the door.
"But before we go, what about the egg? It still needs to be kept warm."- Ty.
"I'll bring it with us then. Hopefully, we can keep it secure until it hatches."- Lora.
"You're the best, mom!"- Ty, smiling at her.
"Now go get ready."- Lora, smiling right back.
"Right!"- Ty, running up the stairs.
And so, Ty and Lora meet up with Grant at the village plaza. But strangely enough, there appear to be no troops.
"Where are the troops? Aren't they supposed to meet us here?"- Lora.
"Their leading officer just informed me that they have already gone out. It could be another assignment but maybe they're looking for Russell."- Grant.
"I hope it's the latter."- Lora.
"Let's go then! We're coming, Russell!"- Ty rushing to the forest outside of town.
"H-hey, kid! Don't take off on your own!"- Grant, running after him.
Lora chases the two as they begin their search for the lizard that took Russell.
While traversing through the forest, Grant brings up a topic that he should've considered.
"Say, Lora. What's that giant egg you're carrying? There's no way it can be a Dragon Egg, right?"- Grant.
"It is actually. Ty just happened to have stumbled upon it. We're taking good care of it. The only tragedy is that these eggs can take a while to hatch."- Lora.
"So why bring it with you on this dangerous search?" - Grant.
"Well, for it to hatch it must be kept warm. I could've left it at home but Ty was so really excited to see it hatch that I had to bring it out with me. He wouldn't miss the moment."- Lora.
"Ah. But wait, why was that egg here in Lizaro? Dragon Eggs are only present in Dragoon."- Grant.
Lora hears a loud roar from afar. It appears that they reached a turning point. Lora has the ability to feel a lizard's presence, mind, and body. So she is able to hear them as well. In this case, the louder the roar the closer they are. If she can sense a creature's true darkness, she is able to shine her pure aura on them to eradicate the darkness from them.
"Follow me, you two. I can sense where the black lizard is."- Lora, sprinting ahead of them.
"Right behind you, mom!"- Ty.
"Me too!"- Grant.
They follow closely behind Lora as she walks through the bushes. At that point, they witness a sign. The arrow points in the direction of the Black Lizard's cave.
When they reach there, they notice something they don't want to see: the corpses of the troops, including Grant's son. Russell was no troop but he join them in the afterlife. The three were traumatized at the sight of this. As well as saddened
"N-no... NOOOOOOO!"- Grant, screaming in frustration and sadness.
He pounds his fist on the ground.
"RUSSELLLLLLLLLLL!"- Grant, heartbroken.
"W-why?! Why did this have to happen?! It's not fair?! IT ISN'T FAIR!"- Ty, crying intensely.
Lora sheds some tears for all that have fallen.
