Chapter 67 - CHAPTER 68

Larisa waited for Lothaire but it didn't take long for him to return but when he did she was a bit confused, she had thought he would come back looking dishevelled since he went to pour his wrath on them but not a strand of hair on his head was out of place, no blood on his clothes unlike earlier when he had killed the hitmen in the van.

"What happened?" She asked curiously as soon as he came in and he smirked sarcastically seeing her reaction.

"Don't be relieved, they're all dead." Lothaire said with a cold voice and Larisa gulped hard as she heard him.

"You killed all of them?" She asked with slightly wide eyes that Lothaire had killed the entire Stone family.

Lothaire's sadistic smile and the dark glint visible in his eyes already gave Larisa her answer.

The news of the Stone's family deaths spread like wildfire as they were widely known businessmen as they did their illegal business with the facade of being businessmen. Larisa watched the early morning news, the first thing she saw was the news of the tragic death of the Stone family. The news read that they had died in a tragic fire accident along with the bodyguards who tried to save them in the process.

She wondered how Lothaire made it look like a fire accident but it was Lothaire, he could do anything. Anne called her that morning as she was obviously in disbelief and shock from the news that had spread everywhere.

"You won't believe what happened! Danny's dead and his entire family too, they died in a fire accident." Anne exclaimed in shock and Larisa felt even more guilty, that she was the cause of his death.

"I heard, I'm watching the news." Larisa said with a small voice.

"I can't believe this, it's terrible." Anne said unable to believe that Danny was dead.

"Yeah.." Larisa could barely reply, she was shaken.

"Are you all right?" Anne asked in concern as she noticed her replies.

"I'm fine, I just feel pitiful for Danny, he was a kid." Larisa said.

"Yeah I get it, you wish you were more nicer to him right? Well you were nice enough, so you don't have to feel bad." Anne assured her.

"Yeah, thanks."

The call ended and she turned off the TV as she didn't want to think about it anymore.

"Breakfast is ready." Lothaire announced as the aroma of the meal found it's way to her nostrils. She turned her attention to him as he prepared her food on the table. She took her seat with the meal in front of her looking like a delicious temptation and she soon forgot about the Stone tragedy as a smile formed on her lips. Lothaire easily made her forget the dark things he did, he slowly made his darkness a normal part of her life.

Lothaire watched her intently as she ate the food with a blissful feeling.

"Uhm Lothaire I have to go to Sunday mass today...." She said with an uncertain tone, she wanted to attend mass since it was Sunday but mostly because her parents would attend it too. She wanted to reconcile with them and be a happy family again as she thought they would definitely apologise to her if they saw her again, since she would never see them again once she left to Empire D.

Lothaire squinted his eyes at her but she couldn't tell what he was thinking.

"Of course love, but just so you know, you won't make it to heaven." Lothaire told her with a sarcastic smirk and she fluttered her lashes at his words.

"Will you come too?" She asked, she wondered if he could step foot into a church since he was a demon.

Lothaire wondered if it was a good idea to go to church with her, the concert he had gone to with Larisa was awful so he wondered if this could be worse.

"Fine, I'll go too." He said, he didn't want her to go alone since he didn't know who else was out there planning something without his knowledge.

"Yeah and after that, I and Anne are going out." Larisa informed nervously but he nodded.

"You can spend as much time as you want with her, after we leave you're never seeing her anyways." Lothaire said with a wolfish grin and Larisa's face saddened. She was sad that she was going to leave everything behind for Lothaire but maybe, he was worth it.

They got prepared for the mass and left in his car. They arrived at the church and Larisa felt a bit nervous that something might happen to Lothaire if he entered the Church.

The double doors swung open and they entered the church, everyone's attention fell on them and the Priest paused in the middle of his sermon as his eyes fell on the strange man that made him freeze. The loud murmurings from the crowd could be heard as they came in but they both ignored it as they took their seats.

The priest cleared his throat gaining back the attention of the crowd as he continued his sermon. Larisa glanced at Lothaire and she was glad that nothing happened to him as he stepped into the church.

The sermon continued and Lothaire paid attention while Larisa glanced at him every second, making sure he was alright but there was no hint of uneasiness on him, he was as calm as the breeze.

The sermon finally ended and Larisa strained her eyes as she searched for her parents in the crowd. Lothaire realized she was searching for her parents.

"They're over there but you really don't have to say anything to them, they don't deserve you." Lothaire said with a hard voice and she felt better with his words but still, she wasn't like him, she cared about her parents.

"I know but...They're my parents, I can't just ignore them." She explained even though he would never understand. Lothaire didn't say anymore and watched her walk towards her parents as they set to leave.

"Mom! Dad!" She called and they turned around to meet her.

"What are you doing here with that man?!" Her father said in between gritted teeth. She could hear the disgust in his voice which was surprising because she expected them to be different, to ask for forgiveness and she was willing to forgive and forget.

Larisa's mouth parted but words failed to com out as she stared at her parents like aliens.

"Why would you bring him here to the church, in presence of all? Do you want to ruin my good name? You've done enough Larisa! I've had enough with you and that arrogant man!" Her father continued in a low but hard tone, she could see the disgust and irritation in his eyes as he stared at her.

Her chest twisted in pain, she was hurting but she wouldn't anymore, she shouldn't hurt for them, Lothaire was right, they didn't deserve her.

"You don't have any right to speak to me like that! I was willing to forgive you and bury whatever you said to me that day but I was wrong, you don't deserve my forgiveness neither do you deserve a daughter like me, you're a father who cares more about society than your own family, you're a bloody hypocrite! And you're a mother who can't even stand your ground and say what you want, you just keep quiet and let him make decisions for you and control your life like a fucking puppet! I don't need your opinions so guess what? I'd have wanted you and society to all burn in hell but I don't want to see any of you there." Her voice was loud and firm and everyone's attention were on them but she stomped out angrily after pouring her thoughts out. Her parents stood frozen as they were shocked by her outburst and words.

Lothaire was right, she shouldn't have felt bad and tried to reconcile with them, they didn't deserve any bit of her, she was still fuming with anger that she had tried to reconcile with them only to be treated like that as she stood by the car waiting for Lothaire.

She didn't realize he was there until she heard his voice.

"I didn't think you had such rebelliousness in you..." Lothaire drawled and she looked up at him to meet a dark grin on his handsome face.

"Yeah me neither, do you think it was too...I mean we were in church..." She said wondering if she had overdone it as she was driven by her anger.

"I think it was perfect." Lothaire assured her and a small smile formed on her lips.

She glanced at her wristwatch before saying,

"I have to meet Anne, I'll see you by...?"

"Five on the dot." Lothaire said and she beamed a smile before getting in a taxi, Lothaire watched her disappear and he zoomed off in his car also.

"This is our chance to finally eradicate those sinful creatures, follow her!" A male voice said as they followed the taxi Larisa had boarded.
