The next day, Mokami found himself alone with Mika in the living room, both of them stealing glances at each other, clearly unsure of how to approach the conversation they knew they needed to have. Eventually, Mokami decided to break the ice.

"Mom, we need to talk about what happened that night," he began, his voice gentle but firm.

Mika nodded, her eyes meeting his. "I know, Moka-chan. I've been thinking about it all day."

Mokami took a deep breath, trying to gather his thoughts. "Before I went to my internship, you told me about your feelings for me. And I told you that I felt the same way."

Mika's eyes filled with sadness, but also a hint of hope. "Yes, I remember. It was a very emotional night."

Mokami continued, "I want to make sure we address any unresolved issues or feelings we have before we decide how our relationship will progress."

Mika looked at him, her eyes searching his eyes for answers. "What do you mean, Moka-chan?"

Mokami hesitated, carefully choosing his words. "I mean, we need to be honest with ourselves and each other about what we truly want and whether it's possible for us to have a romantic relationship without causing harm to ourselves or our family."

He wanted to just jump on her delicious lips, look into her beautiful eyes, hold her hands, and whisper to her ears that he loved her, but it wasn't that easy. He wasn't feeling anything against his morality, but Mika was different. She was single for years, and Mokami's presence was only man in her life. Although for now she might have felt attraction, she could have regretted it dearly later on when the deed was done.

Mokami loved Mika, he adored her, so if it meant giving up on progressing their relationship, in exchange of her mental health, he would give it up without second thought. Same went for every other woman in his family. He loved them more than whatever his body ordered him to do. Thus, he could only take things slow. Making sure at each step that Mika is on board. There was no other way around it.

Mika took a deep breath, her eyes glistening with tears. "I've thought about this so much, Mokami. I love you more than anything, but I also know that our relationship is... complicated."

Mokami nodded in agreement. "I love you too, Mom. But we need to consider the implications of our feelings. We have a responsibility to our family and to ourselves to make the right decision."

Mika reached out and took Mokami's hand, her grip warm and comforting. "I know, Moka-chan. I don't want to hurt anyone, especially not you or our family. But I can't deny my feelings for you."

Mokami squeezed her hand reassuringly. "Neither can I. So, let's talk about it. Let's explore our feelings and see if there's a way for us to be together without causing harm."

Mika nodded, wiping away her tears. "Alright, Mokami. Let's be honest with each other. When did you first realize you had feelings for me?"

Mokami thought back, trying to pinpoint the exact moment. "I think it was as long as I can remember. Seeing that bastard dismiss you, demean you, undermine your efforts had always angered me. I grew up adoring you, Mom. And when you grew out of him, and showed how capable you are, proved that you are not a doll to be presented near that bastard, made me fall for you even more."

Mika listened intently, her eyes locked on his, her stomach churning with his every word. Feeling giddier and giddier… "I see. I think I first realized my feelings for you when you were 13. I noticed that I started to feel jealous when I saw you with other girls, and I couldn't understand why. It took me a long time to accept those feelings. You grew up early, and you were already as tall as a young adult, your body was muscular and handsome beyond belief."

Mokami nodded, understanding the struggle she must have gone through. "I am not feeling any regret or having second thoughts, Mom. I am glad I have these feelings. I just wanted to say, I am not succumbing to my emotions, I water them, I protect them within the deepest part of my heart. I love to love you."

Mika looked at him, her expression filled with determination. "I think we should give it a try, Mokami. We should try to have a relationship and see if it can work. We owe it to ourselves to explore our feelings and find out if we can be happy together."

Mokami considered her words carefully, weighing the potential consequences. "But we need to be cautious, Mom. We can't let our feelings cause problems for our family. We need to be discreet and take things slowly."

Mika nodded, looking at Mokami for reassurance. Sensing her need for comfort, Mokami's demeanor shifted, becoming more assertive and confident.

"Mom, listen to me," he said, his voice strong and steady. "I love you, and I know you love me too. There is nothing to be afraid of as long as we are honest with each other and ourselves. We can make this work, I truly believe that."

Mika's eyes shimmered with hope as she listened to her son's words. "You really believe we can do this, Moka-chan?"

Mokami squeezed her hand gently, offering a warm and reassuring smile. "Yes, I do. I know it won't be easy, and we'll have to navigate some complicated emotions along the way, but I have faith in us. We're strong, Mom, and our love is real. That's what matters."

Mika's eyes filled with tears, her heart swelling with love for her son. "Thank you, Mokami. I needed to hear that."

Mokami leaned in and tenderly kissed her forehead. "You don't need to thank me, Mom. I'll always be here for you, no matter what."

They sat in silence for a few moments, allowing the weight of their conversation to sink in. Finally, Mokami spoke up again, his voice filled with resolve.

"Mom, I want to make sure we're on the same page moving forward. We'll take things slowly, and we'll be discreet to protect our family. We'll be honest with each other, and we'll communicate openly about our feelings and concerns. Is that something you can agree to?"

Mika nodded, her expression serious but filled with love. "Yes, Mokami. I can agree to that. I want to make this work, and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to be with you."

Mokami smiled, feeling a sense of relief and hope for their future together. "I'm glad, Mom. I know this won't be easy, but I believe in us. We'll face any challenges together, and we'll come out stronger because of it."

With their conversation concluded, Mokami and Mika shared a tender embrace, solidifying their commitment to each other and their love. They knew the road ahead wouldn't be easy, but they were determined to navigate it together, hand in hand, and to face whatever challenges life had in store for them as a united front.
