We greeted and said goodbye to Widya's father before leaving the house. The distance between Widya's house and mine was only about 5 minutes, the motorbike was still parked in front of Widya's house and we walked together to my house.
I saw the living room that was still lit, grandma must not be able to sleep because it covered me. I immediately ran to the house first, my friends understand that because so far I never go out to play until late at night.
"Assalamualaikum, grandma" I said immediately praising the door. Not long ago there was an answer from inside, the sound of the door lock was heard and grandma appeared in front of me.
"Nimas, why are you just coming home? You're okay right?!"
"Sorry grandma, I came home late, there was a little problem" I explained.
Grandmother also looked at my friends. "You guys?"
"Grandma..." the three of them said in unison and kissed her hand.
"Grandma, this is my fault. Sorry for being late to take Nimas home," said Widya feeling guilty.
"Okay, come on in. It's very cold outside, just tell me what's going on inside."
Grandmother prepared several glasses, a thermos of hot water, and plates for snacks. The cold weather was perfect for drinking warm water, Widya and I chose warm milk, while grandma, Reno and Dika drank milk coffee.
"You guys look really tired and pale, what happened? Did you guys run around in the square earlier?" Grandma asked while studying our faces.
"No Grandma, in fact the problem is not in the square town. We came home from there at 9, but right on the grave road... Widya's motorbike died" I explained.
Grandmother looked surprised, she silently looked at us carefully. "How did it happen?" asked grandma seriously.
"This was my fault, initially Nimas had warned me not to use a flashing light. But I didn't listen, when our motorcycle was passing by the steps of the tomb, the motorbike's light flashed several times and just went out. Before Reno and Nimas caught up with us, I checked and tried started the motorbike again but it still didn't work. Until finally Reno and Nimas followed us there, "said Dika.
"Then what happen?" Grandma asked, her face starting to tense up.
We looked at each other, hesitant to answer the question. On the other hand, we are still afraid of what happened earlier.
"Were you disturbed by the pocong in the tomb?" grandma guessed. We nodded together, grandmother also let out a long snort. "Deterrent or not??" Grandma asked holding back her laughter.
Our tense sides changed seeing that smile. "Grandma, it's scary I swear," said Widya. "Nimas is also having fun. When the pocong came, she even asked me to do an interview!" Widya patted my arm.
"You're curious, so I'll give you a chance" I replied. "But I don't think pocong is grandma Suri"
"How do you know Nimas?" asked Dick.
"From the sound of his growling" I answered briefly. "You're lucky Widya, you didn't see his face. Ugh" I said shuddering and a little nauseous at the memory.
"Don't tell me, I might not be able to sleep later."
"Then what about Reno and Dika, do you dare to go home?" asked grandma remembering their house is in the next village.
"Don't worry about us, grandma, later we will sleep over at my aunt's house. I was there before going to the main square, and also visited my uncle," said Reno. Coincidentally, his aunt's house is in this village. Reno's uncle and aunt's house is not too far away, we are in the same village, it's just a different street.
"Why is your uncle Ren?" I asked.
"Uncle had an accident, yes because of the pocong too. He fell into a small ditch on the side of the cemetery road with his motorbike." grandmother explained.
"Astaghfirullah, when did this happen? I asked.
"A few days before. He came home from an invitation and came home at dusk, when passing by that road uncle saw a pocong, out of fear he immediately stepped on the gas, but because of the potholes on the road, the motorbike swerved and went into a ditch" explained Reno, looking sad on his face very.
"That's why you were so angry and beat the pocong, right?" I said trying to guess.
Reno nodded, while Widya and Dika, who didn't know what had happened, turned to us in unison.
"What?!" they said in unison.
Reno and I chuckled because of their expressions. Obviously they didn't see Reno beating the pocong, Dika and Widya had already fled. It was a really annoying but fun night.
*****
Because of what happened last night I woke up late, I felt... My whole body hurts. Joints feel stiff and sore, head also feels very heavy. This must be because of the clash of energy from the pocong ghost.
Today I want to lie down at home and enjoy the school holidays, I feel tired and lazy to go out of the house.
"Oh my gosh, I forgot. Reno's jacket is still with me" I said patting my forehead.
I got up from my bed, then rushed to take Reno's jacket. I plan to wash the jacket first before returning it.
"Nimas" shouted Widya who suddenly appeared when I opened the bedroom door.
"Astaghfirullah. Widya!" I said annoyed. The lives have not yet been gathered, everyone has been shocked like that.
"Wow, just woke up!" she teased.
"Pretending to tease, you also just woke up right?" I replied.
"Hehe, yes," replied Widya, grinning.
"Then, what are you doing at my house so early in the morning?"
"I want to ask for help, take me to my uncle's house in the sub-district. I was told by my father to take the cake there, please...." she said pitifully while hugging my arm.
Oops, the plan today I want to sleep at home. I was silent and did not give an answer. "Wid, just last night my tiredness hasn't gone away, it's time to go again" I protested.
"Yeah. Shouldn't I go alone though?"
I was silent looking for a way to postpone Widya's invitation until noon, at that time I saw my grandmother smoking cigarettes in the living room. Instantly my brain had an idea.
