"I could swear, the thing I saw before the snake appeared was just a stick. I even had time to touch and observe the stick" I answered with confidence.
"What does the wand look like?" the village head stared intently.
"It has a long shape and on the head of the stick there is a carving of a snake's head, I touched it and am sure that it is a stick made of brown and shiny wood" I answered in detail telling the truth.
The village chief gasped in surprise when he heard my explanation, his face turned pale with sweat that started to drip down his forehead.
"What's the matter, sir?" asked the worried mother seeing the village head's expression that changed.
"That's bad... If I had known earlier"
"It means?" mom still doesn't get it.
"The snake killed by the residents was not an ordinary snake, the snake was one of the supernatural creatures guarding this village," replied the village head.
"Wh... What?" Mother was also surprised.
"I can talk like this because of the information from your daughter, the stick she saw is the incarnation of the snake. Gosh... I have to gather the residents to negotiate all of this, we have made a big mistake," said the village head then he hurriedly said goodbye.
Mother stared at me silently, while I only replied with a glazed look. Maybe mom has realized why I was crying and screaming at the locals to stop hitting the snake.
Because of what happened that day, the village head and the residents finally decided to pray together. As a sign of forgiveness for acting presumptuously, it is said that if they do not hold a prayer together, then the people who killed the snake demon will receive a disaster or a curse.

After a few weeks later, when it was late in the evening, the atmosphere began to be quiet and dark. Outside there are also only seen a few residents passing by.
I'm cool sitting swinging my legs on the porch railing while enjoying the atmosphere, I really like to sit outside when it's hot, while my mother is folding clothes in the front room.
"Nimas, don't you want to come in? It's getting dark, come in and lock the door," said mother from inside.
"Yes mom in a while, I'm still hot"
For a moment I looked at the sky that was getting dark, then I looked around which was getting quiet and no one was passing by. Until in the end I accidentally turned to the left, to be precise at the bamboo tree which is located in the garden.
There I saw a very tall woman, her face pale with black eye bags, long matted hair, wearing a white dress standing in the middle of a thicket of bamboo trees, glaring at me.
I stared at her, observing the mysterious woman clearly. We looked at each other, the woman also didn't move at all.
"What is she doing there at this time of the afternoon? Why is she so tall? And why is she glaring at me?!" I muttered to myself.
Suddenly my body started to feel goosebumps, plus the woman's eyes looked even more glaring while grinning. Until finally, something made me realize that she is not human.
The mysterious woman was still glaring at me, then she started moving beside the bamboo trees. I was still looking at her, it's a bit strange too she moves without moving her feet.
The woman shifted more and more and I saw it more clearly. A strange woman who I thought had a proportional height, it turns out she was floating in the air and didn't touch the ground.
That's when fear started to embrace my feelings, but somehow I still couldn't budge staring at that woman.
Her matted hair hung down until it dragged to the ground, I couldn't see her hands and feet because they were covered in a white dress. Until finally the woman stopped in a bush near a coconut tree, then started laughing shrillly.
At that moment I immediately tried to move, then ran into the house. "Mommy..." I screamed in fear but I fell because my legs felt so weak.
"What is it?!" said the panicked mother saw me falling and scared. "Why are you Nimas?"
"Come here mom, there's a weird auntie glaring and laughing at me!" I said getting up and took my mother's hand and took her to the terrace of the house, but when I pointed to the woman's place, it turned out that she was not there.
"What's wrong? Aunt who do you mean, where is she?" mother said
I was silent, while looking for that mysterious woman. But there was no one there anymore.
"Nimas, what's wrong?" mom asked when she saw me confused.
"She's gone Mom, Auntie's gone"
"Did you tease her until she glared at you?"
"No, I'm sitting here quietly. But that woman looks very strange mom"
"Weird how?" mother furrowed her brows.
"She doesn't touch the ground, she floats. Her face is pale, she wears a white dress and her hair is very long."
Hearing my explanation, mother immediately looked worried then took me into the house and locked the door tightly.
"What I said, if it's late at night, enter the house, don't go outside," said the mother angrily. "Although I is also afraid, but... I thank the kuntilanak for appearing in front of you. If not, then you will not believe what I said" Mother turned to taunt me.
"You, mother is very brave" I replied.
Mother laughed and then told me to just sit beside her and advise me again. I still feel scared, it can be seen from the mother's expression too. But we distracted everything by talking and joking, maybe after this I'll be more obedient to mom and won't be out of the house after dark.
It was the first time I saw a kuntilanak so clearly, and that figure is still vividly imagined when I wrote this story.
