A loud chirps sound from — I'm sure they're from the birds. And the fresh cool air wakes me up. I blocked my face with my arm when the ray of light dump my face. I slowly opened my eyes. I blink... And then blink again when the first thing I saw was a thatch.
Where the heck am I? This isn't my room.
I peek around, a squeak wanting to escape from my mouth when I saw the most evil— yet attractive face I hated my most life with sleeping right next to me, half- naked. I shifted my gaze. His long and firm arms wrapped around my body. His thick long eyelashes were peacefully hanged on his eyelid. The devil is sleeping like an angel.
I bring my hand to my mouth, stopping myself from shouting and slapping myself when I remember what just had happened last night. Oh my cash! I just had sex to a billionaire, Noah Acosta. I had sex to my enemy. The one person I hated the most.
Oh no. A one night stand with him? This jerk! I wanted to slap his face real hard. With seethed teeth, I unfasten his arms around me, careful enough not to make a sound. I gulped. Don't wake up. Don't wake up.
I take a careful step to get my scattered clothes off the bamboo stick floor. They were dry when I wore it back. Looking back at Noah, who's still in his deep sleep, I raise my middle finger in the air. I wish he saw that!
"Jerk." I muttered under my breath.
I break a sprint to the car. I'll just wait for him here. Seeing myself in the rearview mirror, I keep slapping myself for how foolish I am for letting myself be tempted by lust!
I couldn't just believe I did that with Noah. I would sex everyone, just not that man! He's not worthy of my body! He's evil.
You're kidding. You enjoyed his body too. You enjoyed his every touch. You enjoyed him.
"Shut up, shut up!" I butted my head just to stop that traitor brain for talking to me like that. "I'm not enjoying. He's a jerk! He took advantage of my weakness!"
"Weakness, what?" I jump off from the shotgun when the door opened and he slides inside. He's covered now. "And how bad of you to leave me there alone, like that? You should have woken me up."
His frustrated brows met. His jaw tensed. A guilt crept in me. But I will not apologize.
"I'm not your alarm clock."
He looked at me like he couldn't believe what I had just said. "Then starting from now on you are. You'll be my human alarm clock." he gritted.
"And why would I do that?" I scowled at him.
"Because I told you so. Because you are working for me." he shot back. "And I will make you do everything I ask you to do. If you fail to do a single thing, I'll make sure your whole family ends up in jail."
"You can't do that."
He's kidding. That's what I've thought. But when I watch him texting on his phone, his eyes couldn't get any more serious. His aura tells me to back off or he'll lost his control and might throw me off the road.
Right. He's serious. He's in a bad mood, Lori. And I don't understand why he's acting like that so early in the morning. Is it because I didn't wake him up? Is it his morning sickness because he's an evil person? Or is it because he regretted what happened to us too! Maybe he thought I was not worthy of his body too! Maybe he didn't really want it. Maybe he didn't want my body.
That could be the reason. My hatred for him just grew wider. He's not the only who regretted what happened, so did I. He's not even good at sex!
Then suit yourself, Noah. You're nothing but a jerk. Of course you can do that. You can put us in jail if you wanted too. With our big debts, I'm sure he'll be happy seeing us spending our life behind bars. He's Noah Acosta. A Noah Acosta can do anything he wants. He can even destroy people.
He's a pure evil.
It felt like an hour without us talking— screaming at each other when a luxurious limousine stops on our side. Noah get out in the car when he saw it. My hunch proved me right that it was his when two familiar men disembark the limo. Of course, those two were his personal bodyguards.
I get out of the car when one of his bodyguards checked the tire of the Mercedez.
"Robert, you fix it and drive this car home. Poncio, you drive us." I heard him commanding them.
"Yes, sir."
Robert opens the trunk of the limo and pulled out the needed tools for fixing the Mercedes - Benz. Noah cued me to follow him.
We slide together inside. My mouth falls open when I roam my eyes around. Oh my cash. This is just like out straight from the movie. This is actually the first time I rode a limo this sumptuous. Noah laid on the long and extensive seat. He closes his eyes while he rested his one arm on his forehead. I sat across the other seat— no, it looks like a sofa.
The limo started. I took a deep breath while trying to avoid my sight from him. He's mad. I can sense it. He didn't talk to me. Well, he's not approachable after all. But I couldn't just believe he is acting like nothing happened to us.
Or am I just the only one who's affected? No way! No! My blood boils. Every time I think of what had happened between us, it made me irk. It makes me want to wrap my arm around his neck!
I sighed again. I feel like my life is ruined now.
I rolled my tongue inside my cheek— planning to peek at Noah. Right, just a peek. But my soul almost leaves my body when I see him already staring at me.
I feel my cheek burned. He startled me.
His eyes were like he studied me minutes ago before I could even take a look at him. I heard him tsk-ed before rolling his eyes and close it again.
What had just happened? He's so sus.
The jerk! How dare he rolled his eyes on me! Control yourself, Lori. He's not worth your fist.
We arrived at his mansion not that long. The huge heavy grilled gate opened when the limousine approaches. I couldn't believe my eyes. Am I in a castle? Even his house looks like straight out from a movie. The surrounding was nestled in a woodland.
We get off the limo the moment we reached the front of the main house. The stoned pathway was appropriately crested. Noah took a step to the main door. It automatically opens when he snaps. I gaped. Is that even possible? I asked myself.
I followed him inside. The hall was widely deluxe. The floor was made of a sparkling marble. Every corner of the house was drawn with high-quality antiques. Classy and vintage designs parging on the wall. All the landscapes my eyes have captured were undeniably breathtaking and exorbitant. There were comforting amenities and well-established figures in every part of the wide sala. Wow. Just wow.
Everything is just fancy and brand new to me. And... In here looks like a dream.
"I'll just be in my room, if you need anything tell the maids." Noah said, cutting my reverie.
My eyes are sharply darted on him. He never fazed. "Yeah, whatever."
I saw him clenching his jaw before turning his back on me and step up along an extensive double staircase. He's so moody. I wonder what's his problem.
He was followed by three maids after, who were bringing my baggages from inside the limo. His house is big— a mansion, but the ambiance was lonely. I mean, he had those two guards I knew, and maids who I can actually count with my both hands, but where is his family? I somehow expect they were there with him. I had only met his father who was as cruel as him. I wonder if he had siblings too.
But scratch that— I don't care about his life.
"Forgive my ignorance, lady. But what's your name?" A maid asks, as I tried to reach for another bag to help.
"I'm Lorelai," I uttered, smiling.
"Lady Lorelai..." she said, nodding like she retained it on her mind to remember. "Lady Lorelai, thank you for trying to help but you are not allowed. Let us just do our job. We'll put your things on your room. Just like what Sir Noah told us."
"Why am I not allowed to help?"
"It's an unwritten rule in the mansion, Lady Lorelai." she answered straight to the point.
With no choice, I gave her and her other co-maids a nod. "Okay. But I'll go with you. I want to know my room."
They gave me a polite bow. I was surprised. I had never been respected this much. It felt so awkward... and too much.
"Understood, Lady Lorelai. Follow us." she lead me the way.
The other two maids were on our back carrying my bags. I really wanted to help, I don't like the feeling of being served this much. We don't have any maidservants in our home, because according to my Mom, why we need those if we are capable doing all the chores at home too. Having maids just accelerate laziness. That's why this whole thing just doesn't make feel right to me.
"This is your room, Lady Lorelai. And Sir Noah's room is still on the next floor." she lifts her gaze upward, I followed. "That's the master bed room."
They entered my luggages inside the room. When they properly put it in place, they politely inform me for their exit.
I studied my new room for a little while. The wall paint was black. The curtains too. My bedsheet was plainly black so as the pillows. Everything in here is dark! Well, except for the floor and some furniture. Who's this room and why the ambiance is so damn lonely and sad? This is just like Noah. It represents his attitude and soul.
The room was clean and sophisticated though. And it smells expensive. I sat on the bed. I grin as I bounce back from the softness of the foam. This is great! It's so comfortable and cozy.
Well, I think this aura will do for a day or two. Since this is my room now, I'll make sure to buy curtains, sheets and my own things just to design this room pink! Everything in here should corresponds to my taste buds.
