Chereads / THE BEAST IS A BILLIONAIRE / Chapter 6 - CHAPTER 5 - RIDE

Chapter 6 - CHAPTER 5 - RIDE

The next morning I woke up at exactly five o'clock. It's Monday and my next class will be at seven. Feeling tired and sleepy still, I forced myself to go shower. The water is cold— or that was I expected, but my mind forgot that I am in the Acosta's chamber. It has everything. I turned the heating control panel. The thermostat and the wall heather function capably fast as I blink. Everything then turns perfect.

I warm the water on my tub and comfortably bathed myself.  The Acostas are freaking wealthy. The perks of being a billionaire, huh? That still doesn't change the fact that they're evil. It surely a nice feeling to be this rich and then make Noah my servant. Him on bended knee at my feet. Him serving me in every way. And him struggling to carry every bag and cloths I purchase. I grinned at my thought. That would be nice.

But my reverie popped off when I remember that I need to wake up the monster! Right. I am his human alarm clock like he said. I rashly finish my bath and wore my uniform. A short black pencil skirt, a white tank top with a blazer. I partnered it with my favorite black stiletto.

"Lady Lorelai, where are you going?" a maidservant asks me when she saw me walking upstairs to Noah's room.

"I'll wake Noah up."

"Dios Mio!" she panics in Spanish. "You're not allowed to do that, Lady Lorelai. Sir Noah will be mad. He didn't like that."

Just like what she told me yesterday. "But he will be more mad if I didn't wake him up, he told me to wake him every morning because I'm his freaking human alarm clock."

Now, I couldn't refrain my irritation. She sense it. What does Noah want? How could he have that rule that made poor servants terrified? He should tell them that I am allowed to knock on his door and wake him up! Not like this. It makes me sad that I need to show them how irritated I am so they will let me in to the floor where his room is settled.

"Okay, Lady Lorelai. But don't forget that I already warned you."

"Yeah. If he gets mad, I'll take accountability."

They bow to exit. I resume climbing the stairs. The extensive floor was a freaking whole room. So this whole floor was all his? Not that this mansion is not his. But his room was so big it covered the whole place. A master room indeed. Noah probably thinks that he's a king. King of hell.

"Noah!" I knocked hard on the compacted door. "Noah, wake up! I know you have your work today! You'll be late!" I shouted.

Will he hear me with this solidified door? Perhaps, he can't hear my voice. This thick door probably hoisted my voice in the air and didn't let it pass through. Sure it is.

He's a billionaire, he should have had his own intercom in his room so people won't have a hard time knocking his door doubting if he ever hear it inside.

I put my ear on the door. I tried another knock to hear it myself. It is loud. I tried again. Another three knocks. I make sure that it is louder this time.

"Noah, you jerk! Wake up already! I have a class! You evil! Noah—" I didn't finish my next word when the door opens and my face knobbed on something hard. Ouch.

Slowly lifting my gaze, my mouth falls open and eyes gravely widened when I realized I just bumped into his chest— his bare chest.

He's sleeping half naked?!

I was more fast than the flash as I clutch myself away from him. His brows arched at my sudden leap. An unwanted blush certainly plastered on my face seeing his bulge.

"Y-You're sleeping half naked?" I ask, wanting to slap my face after that for asking such lame question. His eyes followed where my eyes shooting. He eyed down his boxers.

"Why are you so shock? It's not like you haven't seen me completely naked." his voice sounded so raspy.

My face heated more. Annoyed that he actually remembers that but acted like nothing happened.

"Shut up! I am just here to wake you up just like what you command! Do what you want. My job's done here."

Before I could turn my back on him, he calls.

"Wait!"

"What? You need anything?"

"You have your class right? Do you want me to drive you there?" I stared at him. His lips rose up. "Well, I'm going to work now and I'll just drop you by at your School." he added fast.

That's a nice offer actually. I am not sure if I could find a taxi outside his mansion. The whole land is exclusively his. Well, if that's what the monster wants. Then I'll take advantage of him. Oh right! A light bulb abruptly flashes above me. I'll take advantage of him. He's mad rich, so I'll use that for my own advantage. I bet he's not that cruel to let me walk. I could save money.

"Okay."

"Then, good. I'll just clean up myself so wait for me downstairs." he motions, bringing himself back inside his room when out of a sudden he peeps at his door again. "And... No one's allowed in my room except for me so don't enter, Gomez."

"Why would I even—" before I could finish my sentence, the monster already closed the door right at my face. "— want to enter your room?"

The last words were embarrassingly low. How rude!

"Jerk!" I shouted at the door hoping he'd hear it.

I swear, he's the most annoying man ever existed in this whole planet.

I walk down the stairs irritable with Noah. I waited for him in the living room just like what he told. For I think that almost thirty minutes had passed, Noah appeared with his usual suit— a business attire form. He looked so professional and influential. That's an obvious fact. His presence is controlling and commanding— dominant and dangerous. I bet everyone who would see him will say the same thing. I hate that he's effortlessly attractive no matter how I loathed him.

He has just this dominance power on his aura. Not to mention when he's mad, he became more afflictive.

He wore his aviator glasses that amplifies his charisma. "Now, let's go." he declares.

I go after him outside. He penetrated inside his new Bentley car— oh my cash, just how much cars this dude have? Every time we go out the mansion, Noah's been using different cars. I knew he's wealthy, but I'm not still so used to his lifestyle. Everything and anything still surprises me.

***

"That's your University?" he makes sure.

"Yeah," I affirmed.

The car stopped in the middle of the road. We are stuck in a traffic. The horns and noises from the vehicles around us become louder. Can't they see it's traffic? Why are they keep on horning their cars? Grumpy! Just like Noah.

Noah was frowning while his eyes were at the head of the road. He's impatient about the traffic. We're almost near my university. It's just on sight. It takes one block away from here. The thick huge wall of the university towered over other establishments that was why it's visible on our end. I catch some students wearing the same uniform as mine, strolling.

He glances at his wristwatch and winced. Long after, a wicked smile that he's trying to hide still forms on his rim when he turned to me. "I'm almost late for my work. I need to turnaround, so, I'll drop you here."

"You're kidding me, Noah. We're in the middle of the road. And my school still's block away."

"You can walk it from here."

*What?!" I glared at him. He's trying to be serious, but he can't hide to me how evil his lips are trying to curve a wicked grin. "I can't just get out, Noah! It's traffic!"

"I don't have time for this, Gomez. I'm almost good as late. Now if you just go out, please."

Mockery. Tease. I'm sure that's how he sounded to me. This evil wicked monster.

"You owned the company. You're the CEO. No one will be mad at you if you're late." I challenged him.

He shut his brows up, sniggering. Damn him. "But I'm a good CEO, Gomez. I work on time. And I have lots of work to do, so please, get out." he snorted. "And right... After your class, don't forget to go to the company to work. You work under me, remember?" the evil smirk never leaves his sinful lips.

I seethed with anger when I get out in his car and slammed his car door, hard. I don't care how expensive that is! I don't care if he will let me pay if it did damage! As long as I can avenge that evil, nothing matters!

The traffic light turned green that I forget to notice because of how much upset I am. The vehicles—mostly cars beeped on me to tell me to back off in the street. I heard some drivers shouted at me to get out in the middle or if I wouldn't, I should get lost. That was so mean!

I scurried away to the side of the road. I march as I press my tongue at the back of my teeth. One familiar car caught my eye and I lost it all. Noah opened the window of his car just to grin at me before he rushed his car off at a high speed.

He's really having fun to see me suffer, huh? Then wait Noah Acosta! I will have my revenge soon! I will smother you in your sleep!

I think I'll be diagnosed anytime soon with hypertension because of that stupid man.

"Good CEO your face! You're just a jerk, Noah! Jerk jerk jerk!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. Hear it, Noah! Hear it!

I reached the University with a crumpled face early in the morning. My friends asked me what happened because I look like I was scammed. Yeah, I got just scammed by an Acosta. I wish I could chucked his face!

I entered my classes with a bad mood. Juli, my childhood friend kept on asking me what really happened and if it's about Noah again. She knew him. She knew how much I despised Noah Acosta since I was fifteen. My friends overheared about him and his family's cruelty. Since my friends' family were on the same industry too, they knew how bad Acostas were to their enemies. They literally crashed them. Just like the news last year, a business rival who I had heard that tried to taint their name was reported bankrupt soon in the morning. That's how powerful the name Acosta in the business. Their name somewhat ruled the industry. If business is a hierarchy, then yes, the Acostas are on top.

And that gives Noah the privilege to slave people! And I hate him to death for that! How I really wish to see him suffer.

"Dude, you really agreed to live with Noah in the same roof? That's torture!" Juli laughs, sipping her Mai Tai.

We are in the nearest restaurant for a lunch. I told them everything about that happened to me the last two days. Why was I so mad the moment I entered the University and why I can't stop cursing his name under my breath.

I rolled my eyes. "It's beyond torture! If I have the choice, I'd choose death than living with him." I said, matter-of-fact.

"That's not a good thing to say," Andrew interrupts. He's my long-time crush and my close friend too. "Don't say such thing as death, Lori. I know how bad this thing is for you, but it will be all right. One year may seem so long, but time passes by so fast."

This is why I liked him. Aside from the fact that he's handsome and smart, he's always been there to give such advice that cheers my mood. I can't help but flashed a little smile.

"Right. I'm sure it will be over soon and I wouldn't even notice it. I just really hope I have more patience dealing him. I'm terrified that I end up killing that jerk if I can't control my anger one day."

The two of them laughed at my words. No, really. If killing is not a sin, I'll end him. Or at least let me tackle him once, please.

"I'm more afraid if something happened between the two of you... you know that thing." Juli winked. I feel like my face is burning so bad at her statement. "Especially now that you two live in the same room. I'm sure things may end up hot—"

"Shut up, Juli!"

"Juli!"

Andrew and I cut her words together. This girl knows how to make everything awkward and... frustrating!

"What? I'm just saying Lori's not a teen anymore. And Noah? We can't deny the fact that he's exceptionally hot and gorgeous. There's a chance that the two of them... Well... You know what it is already." she slurps openly. Shameless. "And Lori, if that ever happens, tell me how many abs Noah has and how hot he is in bed, alright?"

I blushed when she added that. Her mouth is boldly unsolocited. Juli's so talkative. She just didn't have any idea. She didn't have any idea that it had happened to us. We already had sex. Noah has a six pack abs. He's irrefutably hot in a hut bamboo stick floor — not in bed. But I rather be mute than telling her the truth. I won't tell her that. I knew Juli well. If she'd know, she will surely scream like she just won the hottest bachelor in town. Knowing how she thinks, she expects every love story is straight out from a romance novel.

"Lorelai knows more than doing that, Juli. She's not that easy. Noah couldn't even touch her. I'm sure of that." Andrew said, there's a hint of confidence in his voice. "Right, Lori?"

I swallowed hard. Heart seemingly joined a marathon. "O-of course." I mumbled.

Of course not. If Andrew would know how Noah's one touch quivered my whole being and how his kisses lost all the sanity left in me, he would be disappointed. If he knew how I openly spread my leg wide for Noah and welcomed him inside would probably disgust him. Oh heck! Fuck Noah! This all his fault.
