Clarisse was utterly disconcerted. She couldn’t understand what went wrong – why couldn’t she shift to her wolf-form? As a werewolf and a powerful Luna, it used to come naturally to her like breathing.

“Why do you always make it difficult, Clary?” Declan snarled, “I told you that you are still mine as much as I am yours. Why do you have to ask the Werewolf King to have us divorced?”
There was no such thing as monogamy when it came to Alphas within the Kingdom. Even the King himself had several Chosen Mates before he finally met his Fated Mate. But putting that aside, there were no laws that prohibited divorce as well, although quite frankly it was totally unheard of.
