Chapter 16 - Honeymoon—A trip to the Maldives

Chapter 15

**Honeymoon —A trip to the Maldives**

It was exactly 11:05 in the morning when Liliana dropped the Brynn name for good and was officially part of the royal family—Princess Liliana Tegan, after the priest finally pronounced them husband and wife, thankfully she didn't have to kiss her so called husband.

Megan wrapped her arms around her daughter to the point of choking in a warm embrace, she had to groan so she could break free from her mother's grasp. The ceremony was over and done with, she was tired and her dress was starting to feel itchy, all she wanted at the moment as a shot of whiskey and a nap....maybe she would wake up into an alternate reality where she loved doing her job and wasn't a married woman to a prick of a prince.

Everyone started to leave including the king and his wife, Marcus and Megan followed and the only people left in the church were the new couple. Liliana scoffed as she yanked her veil which was holding her hair in place, ruining the fantastic work the hairstylist took an hour to do under a matter of seconds as she ripped the thinly piece of fabric to shreds in front of her husband.

‘We're married now aren't we?'.

’We are'.

‘What's next apart from killing each other?'.

‘You're moving in with me'.

She laughed, ’No I'm not'.

‘Yes you are', his brows arched, ‘We are a married couple and it's normal for a married couple to live in the same house....how far away from reality are you dear wife?'.

She loathed the way he called her his dear wife, ‘I would rather die a painful death than be locked up in the palace just because I'm married to you Adonis, if we're going to stay together then we're certainly not staying here', she argued with a stern look on her face.

He sighed deeply as he couldn't help but agree with her, ‘Our staying arrangements is something that can be done later ', he paused as he took a step closer, ‘We still have our honeymoon'.

‘We married each other out of spite', she placed a hand to stop him from getting any closer, ’Let's not pretend like we're a real couple.....we don't need a honeymoon'..

He chuckled in a way that drove her insides crazy, ‘It's the king's wishes and you don't want to break the heart of your father-in-law won't you? Relax Liliana....it's not like we're going to have sex'.

‘I would never dream of having sex with you....I like my men sweet with a slice of humble on the side'. She sneered even though the possibility of sleeping with him crossed her mind once or twice, he was an extremely handsome man who was the perfect embodiment of her type—but she would rather have dinner with the devil himself than admit that.

Adonis ignored the hand she placed in front of her as a barrier and grabbed her by the waist, pulling her close until she could feel his broad chest against her breasts, a lump formed in her throat and she gulped hard, trying to break free from his grasp—his hold around her was too strong, only igniting his loins which he wasn't expecting....she did things to him, things he couldn't deny.

‘You're my wife now Liliana, sex is an important part of a marriage even a fake one. You're a beautiful woman and I am an irresistible man, it's bound to happen one way or the other'. His voice was hoarse and it grazed her skin in a way she found mildly uncomfortable.

‘Until a cow barks my dear prince.....you will never get me on your bed'.

‘We'll see about that'. He shockingly nipped her earlobe with his lips which sent sparks to her head, sparks that froze her to the spot where he left her after waving with a devious smile on his face—It was a trap, marrying him was a trap which she blindly fell into and now she was done for.....she was really done for.

*******

It was night by the time the car reached the hotel, her bags were packed and she had changed into a simple black dress and matching sandals as she couldn't bear wearing a heeled shoe for another second. She sighed deeply, stepping out of the car and ignoring the hotel staff who waited outside to receive her.

It was her wedding night, her last night in Wales and tomorrow she was to leave the country with Adonis for their honeymoon. The king had planned a one month trip to the Maldives for the both of them, they had no other choice but to go since he had his assistants follow them. It didn't take too long before the prince's car pull up behind hers just as she stood at the entrance.

‘You changed your dress'. He murmured as he walked up to her.

She rolled her eyes, ‘You're not stupid enough to think I'll wear my wedding dress forever do you?'.

‘It suited you', he frowned, ‘Let's spend our wedding night bliss—'

‘Shut up Adonis', she scoffed loudly, ‘You've had your share of taunting the living hell out of me at the church, I will never sleep on the same bed with you so get those horny thoughts out of your head and leave me be. I'll see you at the airport tomorrow for our damned honeymoon'.

He watched as she walked away, flipping her hair on his face with utmost disrespect. God she was the most infuriating being he had ever met....and that was speaking measures considering the fact that he dated Brenda, he thought as he shook his head and made his way into the hotel also ignoring the staff that was outside to acknowledge his presence.

‘Sleep well princess', he muttered as they met again in the elevator, ‘You'll need it'.

She scoffed as it dinged and opened, stepping on his shoes with purpose and smiling as she walked out of the elevator, ‘Goodnight dear husband'.

The door closed before he could lash at her for soiling his perfect shoes, he sighed instead and shook his head, ‘Goodnight dear wife', he murmured to himself as he waited to reach the floor to his room.
