Surprisingly enough, I thought it would be harder to convince her to actually abide by my request as footsteps followed me into my bedroom.
"Sit." I motioned for the bed after closing the door behind me.
"I'd rather stand, thank you."

"I don't know how else to explain this to you, but nothing threatens a relationship if there is miscommunication and with Hailey, she chose to study even further from me without sparing me a word until the day she left."
Kaitlyn stood still, probably taking in what I've just said. Little did I know that she would freely mumble words a second later.
"Why didn't you stop her, because I feel as if Eva mentioning her name made all of those feelings you had for her come back, Reed. And you know that is unfair to the both of us."

"You're right." I sighed.
