Everett was getting more and more anxious throughout the night. Gavin and Leon didn't come back, and Everett wanted to take things into his own hands. He packed a few things into his backpack before sneaking out of his room when he was sure everyone was asleep. He didn't get far, however, when he heard footsteps from right behind him. He stopped and slowly turned, only to find Xiumin behind him, rubbing his eyes.
"What are you doing, Gege?" Xiumin asked softly, causing Everett to glance around before placing his hand to his lips.
"I'm going to meet up with Yanjun and the others," he lied.
"Can I come?" Xiumin asked, causing Everett to shake his head.
"You need to stay here. Your brother would kill us both. I really don't want you getting in trouble," Everett told him. 'Or hurt,' he thought in his head.
"But I don't want to stay here. It's boring," Xiumin said with a pout.
"I'm sorry," Everett said with a sigh. "I'll be back. I promise."
