Chapter 1 - THE VILLAGE OF SHIMOKITAZAWA

In this modern era lived a young boy named Haruki Nao who was a resident of the village of Shimokitazawa which was located in Tokyo the capital of Japan. One could say that it is a peaceful, joyful village with colorful, pure landscapes and dense sensations. Haruki Nao is 17 years old and in high school in Tokyo where he goes by boat every morning when he wakes up. It's a tough year for him because he has an exam to pass and pass to make his grandma proud. Haruki has no idea who his parents are, their names or where they are because he grew up without them since he was raised forever by his grandmother, the only thing we could say that he knows is that his father and his mother died something said by his grandmother which he is not sure of the veracity. He spent night and day asking his grandmother how his parents died, what their names were but unfortunately still no answer so far.

Haruki:

Who is my father and my mother?

What did they do before?

How did they die?

His grandmother:

"I don't know what to answer you, it's not a good idea for me to tell you this story which risks upsetting your life and making you confused".

Haruki: Why? I have the right to know who my parents are!! Why are you hurting me so much grandma? Am I not big enough to assume my destiny?

His grandmother:

"We'll talk about it later, believe me I'm doing this for your good, focus on your studies and get diplomas to one day be a respected man".

Annoyed, he left the house for a walk in the forest asking himself several questions along the way.

When will I have an answer to my questions?

When will I finally be free from all these secrets?

Having his head fucked up asking all these questions he hit his head on a tree branch then passed out for hours near a river... When he woke up when he opened his eyes he saw a young girl at his side smiling and joyful.

Haruki: What are you doing there lady?

Girl: You fainted so I decided to watch you until you wake up lest anything happen to you on this silent plain.

Haruki: You shouldn't care about me anyway my life is meaningless in this world.

Girl: Why do you say that?

Haruki: I'm a boy who doesn't even know who his parents are or how they disappeared.

The young girl: Ha.... I understand your pain but it's not a reason to despise your existence.

Haruki: It's good to console me but it won't help me in my quest.

Girl: Just remember one thing.

You are master of your destiny according to your thoughts, make the impossible possible in your way of thinking and everything will be fine, Well I have to go my presence here was to draw water for my mother.

Haruki: Thank you, it's nice to believe in me and what's your name?

Girl: Nagisa and yours?

Haruki: I'm Haruki happy to meet you.

Nigasa: Me too see you soon Haruki.

He immediately got up from the rock on which he was leaning and then took the road towards the house where on his arrival his grandmother was already sleeping soundly.

"Shit!! Hurry up tomorrow I have an exam it's 9 p.m. I've wasted enough time in the forest I have to get active and work as soon as possible to get a visa for the United States and excel"

So he began to study his lessons all night until he slept on the table. It was a long night.

"Haruki, Haruki, Haruki"

"Yes"

He was surprised at the appellation of his name.

"Wake up you have the final exam today it's 7am you might miss it hurry up to get there I hope there will be empty boats at this time to take you to high school in Tokyo"

These sentences were uttered by his grandmother who woke him up worried that he would tell about the exam.

"Yes grandma, I will do it quickly to get there so much"

Surprised by the speed of time, Haruki took his things and then went to the lagoon to get a boat bound for Tokyo High School.

He arrived at so much by grace and began to do the composition for the exams, 8 hours passed and it was the end of the exam. Haruki looked rather calm and confident as he left for the village to rest and do some activities.

Two weeks passed and the results were up to date and revealed

Haruki being confident saw his name on the list, he overflowed with joy thinking of the enormous pride that his grandmother will have after this news.

That evening, all the men and women of the village who knew Haruki organized a buffet in his honor, a real feast where joy reigned. This 17-year-old boy had finally succeeded in making his poor grandmother happy by obtaining a visa for New York in the United States at Fordham University, renowned for its excellence and elegance.
