Chereads / THE MANUSCRIPT OF PROPHECY / Chapter 3 - STRANGE PHENOMENA

Chapter 3 - STRANGE PHENOMENA

When Professor Willing had told him about the history between the samurai and the evil emperors of hell, he found it funny because for him it was like a fairy tale, we can say that Hakuri was someone very a skeptic who didn't really believe in legends or myths, for him samurai with powers fighting evil emperors of hell was clearly impossible. However the professor always insisted on the fact that this story had really existed and that it was an ordeal for the world.

Hakuri was still unconvinced despite the professor's apt words about the battle.

Later he goes to bed and suddenly receives a text message saying that he will have class the next day at Fordham University at 7:00 a.m. and that he will take his class to the Museum of Natural History in New York.

Six o'clock in the morning and Hakuri was already ready, after having finished taking his bath he put on his clothes then joined the car. He was very excited to see how Americans and their school system are.

Arrived at the University he joined the amphitheater of communication where he had court then sat down on any bench near the professor who had already been seated since his arrival.

Hakuri: Hello teacher!!

The teacher: Hello sir, so you're the new one?

Hakuri: Yes I'm hakuri, nice to meet you ma'am!!

Teacher: Me too!!

The lesson finally began and hakuri already had two neighbors on his left, he took the opportunity to address them in greeting, so they got to know each other:

"Hello, I'm Slide"

"Hello I am Christ"

Hakuri: Hello me it's Hakuri!

Slide: Where are you from?

Hakuri: From Japan Precisely to Tokyo to the Village of Shimokitazawa.

Slide: Serious? The famous Japan? The land of manga culture?

Christ: I love the manga you produce I read them all the time.

Christ: We are Americans, I love electronics a lot, I know about computer hacking, you could say.

Slide: So I am specialized in history, I admit you will find it suspicious that I have a talent for history but that I am here with you here in the communication sector but it is because my knowledge of history is a hobby for me.

Hakuri: Ok I see, I don't really have a specialty except that I'm good at basketball and street-ball.

Slide: You seem like a guy who doesn't brag, it's kind of a good mentality.

Christ: I admit, he has a good vision of things given his morale.

Hakuri: You think? It's cool then these compliments .

3:15 had finally passed during class and it was now 10:15.

This course had already taken and it was now time for the students to do their famous hike.

The teacher: The 7-hour lesson is over, put your things away, then make a row at the gate, we take the bus to the natural history museum.

Hakuri: Already? Okay

Christ: You'll see our museum, you'll love it!

Slide: Yes our museum is a variety of works of art and antiques!

Hakuri: I would love to see that.

After this time of chatting they entered the bus and then arrived at the museum of natural history.

They thus followed the professor in the room of the museum while starting by seeing coffins of pharaohs, Chinese vases they spent hours contemplating tables of Italian arts, then ended with a manuscript engraved with Japanese letters in a crystal glass. Hakuri after having his eyes on this manuscript by having seen Japanese letters could not help but have a deep desire to read it. However the teacher asked everyone to join the bus because it was the end of the visit. But to stay there and read the manuscript in secret he had to invent a lie.

Hakuri: Madam, I need to urinate since I don't know the museum, can I have Slide and Christ accompany me to show me the way and help me?

The teacher: All right, but hurry up, the bus won't take long to leave, we'll be waiting for you.

Christ: Come on, we'll show you the way to the toilets to follow!

Slide: are you coming?

Hakuri: No! I lied I don't really want to go to the bathroom, if I kept you with me it's for your help, I am fascinated by this manuscript because it is written in my native language.

Christ: Did you really lie to the teacher?

Slide: Wait are you serious?

Hakuri: Yes I can't read the manuscript as long as the security code is there I first need your help Slide to hack the system by disabling the alarm so I can read it. I would really like to know if these Japanese letters are related to the history of my country, Christ since you have knowledge of history you can explain to me what the manuscript is about once I have read it.

After Slide deactivated the alarm, Hakuri grabbed the Japanese manuscript and began to read it in the presence of his two friends.

This is what was written:

Hakuri after reading this prophecy which for him was stupid kept laughing saying he wasted his time for nothing.

"No but what is this madness?"

"I really wasted a lot of time it looks like Professor Willing's story and it doesn't seem true it's still so incoherent and impossible that such a phenomenon existed"

He continued to laugh after saying all that but something strange happened. Outside there was fire in buildings, water filling the streets, heavy clouds engulfing the buildings. The three boys immediately ran outside to see with their own eyes the state of the city. They no longer saw the bus, it was as if it had disappeared, the buildings were collapsing, the cars were collapsing, the museum building was melting.
