Chapter 2 - An unordinary reaction

The surrounding hopeful recruits faces were agape as they looked at the man who was currently creating this reaction. He had long flowing white hair with a handsome face. His elegant attire accentuated his good looks further.

The Qi was steadily building up more and more to the point that it looked as if a vortex was currently at the center of the orb. The overbearing aura it was creating caused some of the applicants to have to hold their arm in front of their faces to withstand it.

A middle-aged-looking man in an exquisite azure robe was currently watching in the sky, hiding his presence. Only his sapphire eyes remained youthful despite his age.

'This is it! A disciple not only is causing a black shine, but is causing such a phenomenon to the point that it looks like a black hole!' The man thought with a smile on his face. There hasn't been many people that could do this just from their sheer talent in the history of the sect.

The man immediately swooped downward and held his hand out at the orb, breaking the Qi that was gathering up. A outward burst of Qi spread throughout the area creating a beautiful display that looked like sparks in the air, similar to fireworks. The applicants were in awe of its beauty as they looked on at the scene.

"I will personally take this man as a disciple!" The blue robed man yelled out, increasing the volume with Qi. The surrounding disciples were shocked once more.

"The-The sect leader personally came!" A timid applicant gasped.

"Wow, he's kind of attractive?" One of the muscular applicants shouted confusedly.

The crowd erupted with jealousy as well as admiration towards both the talented man, and the sect leader. It had been their dream to even see the sect leader up until this point.

The talented disciple looked at the crowd and smirked and then left as he followed the Sect Leader into the Sect Building.

After this scene the examination began once more. The remaining tests ranged from knowledge to comprehension talent. All that was currently left inside of the applicants were the ordinary and talentless. No one else created such a powerful entrance.

The examiner finished up his speech to the applicants recruited, as well as seeing off the final bunch of rejected applicants.

The old examiner then went to his house inside of the Sect and laid down on his bed. "Well, I guess I've perfectly fit in." The examiner then transformed and turned into the image of the Shadow Follower. "Even the sect leader didn't recognize that I was a fake.

The assassin looked into the bathroom, eyeing the area in which he had just killed the real examiner hours earlier. The old man didn't even stand a chance. Nor did the assassin feel bad as he had already looked into the past of this man and saw that he was not only greedy, but was actively committing crimes against the mortals due to his greed.

'I should really come up with a name now that I'm free of being an assassin. A name that I will only tell a trusted few..' The assassin thought for a while. This entire time he was only called by code names. While this code name changed from time to time, his official title due to becoming famous did not. This resulted in him wanting to be called The Shadow Follower by all.

"I guess I'll pick the closest to how I feel. Nil Heart. This perfectly encompasses not only how I truly feel, but how others perceive me." Nil nodded to himself and once again transformed into the examiner.

"However, for now, I am this old guy. Jin Moran." Nil sighed as he shut his eyes and took a nap before having to go and do more of this new identity's duties..
