Looking at those animals they were sure would get eaten alive. "So you finally realized you maggots were so concentrated on following me that you don't realize where you are running or bother to look around like a bunch of sheep."
"But I won't waste my time on this, Now we gonna play a game of survival, rules are simple you had to reach the place where we came from, the animals you have seen in this won't attack you unless you're in their territory," hearing this they sigh in relief but soon they realize this can't end and when they saw the smirk on his face they knew something is coming to bite them in their asses.

And you had seven days to reach your destination as after seven days the animals will passively start to hunt you down and believe me when I say this, you won't survive that.

As even before they got a chance to process what the lord said, they looked at the sky and saw dark thick clouds started to appear in the sky,

Everyone sighed at his words and walked ahead, waving the torch as they followed behind Rika, while Rika made her way to the cave.

As they tried to find the origin of the sound but decided against it as they felt like it was an obvious trap.

Some had urged but they followed without complaint, they kept walking for a while without minding the multiple steps behind in front, they were still far but they have increased in number and their distance is decreasing every second.
After a few minutes of walking, a few stumbled their feet in front against a layer of sand brick, as they lowered the torch and found a small wall leading up to something.
As they looked one last time and for a moment caught a glimpse of a black silhouette before it escaped from their views.
Now it was clear it was a hunting animal that liked to play with its prey or either it was afraid of their numbers or whatever it was. It was advantageous for them at least in this situation. as they didn't come here to throw themselves in front of death, especially at times when every life matters.
As they can't thank many animals like that nor they were that huge and it gave them time.

It was common knowledge to have and hold the high ground in a fight, hearing the commands everyone reacted instantly, as groups in middle started to make their way to the lake with few strong people with them.
As the front and back groups turned back and waited patiently for whatever was coming up but instead of footsteps, they began to hear growls. growls that gave them chills.

As they slowly backed down, standing next to the fountain lake and took a deep breath, preparing themselves for the upcoming fight, and just as they breathed out, a few sharp noses sniffed the air back at the hint of a familiar scent.

Hearing this puts a spark of fear into everyone's hearts. And now they knew death was certain just from a small mistake of someone else's. So one group just kept eyes on torches while others split up and started to collect root vines and water and search for anything useful to them.
Soon the time flew by and the howling got louder and instances. but they saw no one and they heard footsteps. It looked like whatever it is, even though they are afraid of coming this deep.
But they can't be sure as they can't see the whole cave. It's likely that animals are already here waiting for them to sleep.
Once the root vines got collected they already checked it the oil wasn't coming from that much deep and because of the humidity in the air, it was gushing out slowly.
So all the people already swam past the lake as they had already placed roots and vines in the oil area while all the group also collected the oil, which could be used in torches.
"Ok guys who had the best aim here," said a guy holding a handmade temporary bow that he just made.
"Why are you looking at us? We don't have it. Me and my sister are more Dagger girls. We can throw them precisely but we never used a bow." Said Rika while looking at everyone as all the people saw them as the most capable people in the group.
"Same with me I'm more of a hand to hand sword fighter than a bow" Said Clara when she saw people looking at her.
As of now none of them were experienced with a bow as they all looked at each other's faces.
"What about you mad eye? As your father was a bowman"
"Well not me I know I do have a talent for the bow but I don't think I would able to make this shot as it's too far and risky"
Hearing her some people nodded while some disagreed on it as some understood their lives depend on this short, while others felt she isn't even trying.
"Ok does anybody here who can make this short."
As everyone looked at each other's faces seeing no one was moving forward and the guy was about to force it on Mad Eye as she was the next best option. But before could even able to speak a word they all heard a sweet voice. "I'll do it"
