Chapter 37 - CHAPTER 37 Talk with Father, The Heir

A/N: hey guys, here's this week's first chapter.

Don't forget your support.

Enjoy.

--------------------------

Although the battle was easy, they still had twenty-three deaths and a few injuries. Well, at least twenty deaths were from the group that escaped from Robert's group, or Drake would really have killed Robert himself. I had invested one whole year with them, not only training them but also getting to know them better, building trust and loyalty.

So the injured ones were very easily taken care of by a single visit to the healing chamber, which had become a daily routine as after the training all of them would visit the healing chamber.

After that accident, Drake started performing different missions with my men. Drake first got rid of the bandits that raided Stormsland and painted Stormsland with their blood. Should I say I had a lot of blood to drink as well as a lot to store? I received the title of "the Blood God."

And they got the idea from his man, who, whenever they fought, would always scream "BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD" so it became a kind of catchphrase, and he liked it very much, so people nearly adopted that. I always had a higher status than most people, at least in Storm's world. I also received the title "the mighty monster'," etc.

While the boys, men, and girls I trained thought I was some kind of blood god or something because of my ability to control the weather, environment, and elements while lifting insane amounts of weight and much more sh*t, they had also seen my fangs, pointy ears, and drunken blood.

The small folks in Stormsland admired and loved even worshipping this son of their Lord. Me, unlike my brother Robert, who didn't care about the Smallfolks and only lusted after their daughters and wanted to fuck their daughters. I seemed to care about them, at least on the surface, for the show. I knew that Smallfolks might be used against him. He studied politics well and knew how to make use of the small folk.

The same event happened when Steffon took the three young Baratheons with him to King's Landing to meet Arys Targaryen. When they reached the throne room, they found Tywin Lannister sitting on the throne, giving orders at the hand of the king.

I looked at Tywin with interest. I was looking at the most cunning opponent I was going to face in the future, at least until I had his daughter.

Tywin was one of the most brilliant people in the world.

He took Casterly Rock when it was having a lot of problems, like the decline of fortune and the huge debts, not to mention the rebellion of their competitor, "House Reyneo mention the rebellion of their competitor, "House Reyne." When he took the lordship, everything changed. House Lannister turned from one of the poorest houses among the great houses to the one with the most fortunate. He was the one who put an end to House Reyne's rebellion.

His way of thinking was really unique. His way of handling house Reyne was amazing. It was the same treatment the Chinese gave their opponents.

They exterminated the whole family so that no future problems could happen. That was the real politics. I would prefer to hang their head in front of the main castle to serve as a warning, though, or more likely to be impaled.

When Arys entered and saw this scene, I could see a shift in expression on Arya's face. Although not as much as Arys still has some of his sanity, still the look of paranoia that appeared on his face made me sure that his existence didn't fuck up the timeline.

I then shifted my eyes to the boy standing beside Arys. The boy was really good looking with his silver hair and beautiful features.

"Heh, that is the famous Raegar." Although you are good-looking,

I had to admit that no one was anywhere near as good-looking as Prince Rhaegar Targaryen. Of course, besides me, he doesn't even stand on the same scale as I do. But his beauty was truly unparalleled and supernatural, and it's no surprise that Lyanna Stark ditched Robert for this girly boy.

I have gotten a bit arrogant, and his haughty personality didn't allow me to accept anyone better than myself. But even I have to say that with that face and the personality that was described in the book, he can steal anyone's heart, and maybe that's why even Cersei falls head over heels for him.

Plus, his natural charms and charisma made even small folk follow him.

Due to reincarnation, I lost most of my maturity. I'm not even aware if I was an adult before I died. I was only a child with knowledge. My rational thinking came from this knowledge.

When they returned, I went back to my schedule of heavy work. He completed assignment after assignment that his father sent him. I even tried to outperform his father. And it was nearly successful. It's only my father's experiences that have beaten me.

I tried to find new solutions for the problems that I faced. Although I didn't bring out any of my knowledge, I solved some problems like roads and water problems based on his way of thinking.

I also brought a few businesses under my fake name to buy shops that I would import soon. I also started to buy priority outside of Storm's End from the big cities for future shops and other businesses. I didn't lack the funds, in fact, I'm overflowing with money.

O.o.O

Steffon, seeing his sons' performances over the past few years and seeing my talent, decided to move forward with his plans to name the heir.  Drake, instead of Robert, he chose to announce himself as the heir to the Storm's End. Throughout that time, he did not select an heir. He had twin boys as his firstborns and didn't know who to name the heir.

He gathered his sons in the study. He also sent for his wife to attend. He sent for Maester Jones, the knight captain, the master of arms, Heldon Estermont, and the steward. He wanted everyone to hear his decision.

After everyone gathered, Steffon looked at everyone and then looked at Cassana. Seeing her nod, he shifted his gaze towards Drake.

"Robert and Drake, both of you are on your ninth name day, and it's time for you to experience the world outside. I had a talk with Lord Jon Arryn. He will foster you both and train you as his wards from now on. You are not allowed to return for at least four years. "Don't let me down." Steffon talked with his usual strict voice.

Steffon first wanted to send his sons to different kingdoms. He hoped to send Drake to Lord Rickard Stark in the north and Robert to Lord Arryn in the vale. He had already forged good relationships with both houses. But after some discussion with his wife, Cassana, they still decided to send both of them to the vale.

The reason was that after all those years, Steffon and Cassana could see the estranged relationship between the two brothers. Robert's feelings of jealousy and Drake's ignoring his brother's existence were too much for them. So they decided to send both of them to the same place. They hoped that with Jon's help, they could get closer.

After hearing that, Robert nodded his head, while Drake looked at his father with some hesitation.

Seeing his son's expression, Steffon turned his head to look at him.

"What is it, Drake?" Asked Steffon.

"Father, if it is possible, is it okay to take my guard unit with me?" "It was fucking hard to reach this level, and I don't want to forget," said Drake.

"Of course not; you could only take at most fifty men with you." Without Lord Arryn's permission, you are not allowed to take any more men there." said Steffon, in a stern tone.

Drake nodded, understanding what his father wanted to say. It seemed he needed to ask for Lord Arryn's permission before sending his men to follow him.

"Well, then, I would ask Lord Arryn for his permission when I reach the Eyrie." But I would need some gold to prepare their lodging if Lord Arryn agreed." Drake said that he didn't want to show how much money he had and that he always welcomed more money.

He didn't want to spend the personal money that his Krakens had brought for him from the depths of the sea, at least not publicly. Using his gold was a big no, of course.

Furthermore, after the Lannisters and Tyrells, the Baratheons were debated to be the third or fourth wealthiest great house in Westeros.

Of course, with his gold, he can make them the richest house in the seven kingdoms, only getting beaten by the Iron Bank itself.

Although he had a lot of ideas from his previous life to make him the richest not only in Westeros but even in Essos, he waited till he was the lord of Storm's Land before showing these ideas.

It was his future money, after all. And he was not going to give his ideas and money to Robert if Steffon didn't choose him as the heir. He would save the money for himself and take Storm's Lands to himself during Robert's Rebellion. What idiot did you think he was?

He had all of the wine and alcoholic drink recipes, as well as ketchup, mustard, white sauce, and much, much more. He had all their knowledge about them. He thought that either he had worked in that business in his previous life or he was an alchemist to have all that knowledge.

He also knew how to make glass and fine paper, apparently not of the same quality as in his previous life. What surprised him were several ship blueprints and even some mediaeval war machines. It seemed as if his past self wished to live in this world where he gathered that lot of information.

And all this knowledge combined with Salvia and the castle's library on weapons and magical weapons would be a walk in the park. In fact, he used that knowledge to build something.

One time, he was looking at the blueprints of spears that were used throughout the history of Castlevania and the world of Earth, at least the ones I've seen, and he used Salvia's help to build a new type of spear that had multiple layers. Technically, he didn't build it; he just designed it, and his servants, the black Smiths, built it for him. But it doesn't matter.

"When you get Lord Arryn's permission, I will send the gold with your deputy, Clinn, and your assistant, Flip." Steffon put an end to the discussion.

Drake nodded and waited for his father to continue. Robert looked at Drake with jealousy. After the bandit's accident, he wasn't allowed to lead an army until he was twelve.

"Well, now to the most important matter. Since both of you were twins and my firstborn, you both had the right to be the heir to Storm's lands. I was going to delay this topic till later, but I decided to tell you my decision before you go to the vale." "Seeing both of your performances in the past years, I decided to appoint Drake as the heir." Said Steffon with a calm voice.

Hearing his decision, all the people in the room nodded as if they knew this would happen or should happen. Well, except Robert. Although he didn't know how to rule or how to manage the lands, and he even didn't care about being a lord, hearing his father's decision made his face turn red from embarrassment, as this meant he had lost to Drake again.

Just as he has always lost to his perfect brother, who can do everything and is loved, adored, and even worshipped by all.

Seeing her son's red face, Cassana tried to calm the situation a little by completing her husband's words.

"Well, that wasn't the final decision." "Your father and I will judge both of your performances after four years." "We would choose the rightful one for this position," Cassana said this while nodding to her husband. She knew her sons the best. She knew that Robert was only angry because he was embarrassed, and there was no way he could turn his brutal personality into his brother's calm and cunning personality.

She knew that Robert wouldn't ever be at the same level as Drake, regarding intelligence and cunning. He might be able to reach him when it comes to fighting. Although she doubted that, seeing how Drake always trained himself,

And she knew deep down that whatever Robert did would never be compared to what Drake did, even in his spare time. And there were times when you had to pick a side. So she will always choose Drake because she loves it so much. She spent the most time with her son Drake after her husband.

Hearing his mother's words, Robert calmed down. He knew he couldn't compete with his brother or become a better lord than him; he also knew his brother was far above his league, but still, he felt embarrassed.

After finishing everything he had to say, Steffon ordered his sons to be ready for their journey to the vale, and they would be on their way first thing in the morning.

Robert and Drake nodded and headed to their room to gather their things. Drake also made his way to where his soldiers were and gave a big speech about his departure. He also informed them he would be here every evening, so they couldn't slack off thinking he was gone.

After that, he called a meeting with all instructors and worker leaders, gave them all the schedules, and told them what they had to do if something came up.

Then he goes to the girls' area, which was done just six months ago. and the girls were shifted there. Today was a day off that they get every week, so let their bodies rest and let them build a deep relationship and understanding with each other.

So all the girls were in their droms. After reaching there, he spent the next 5 hours with them talking, laughing, sharing meta knowledge, and many more things. It was always a good rest for his mind and body.

After that, he and the girls headed over to the open area as he called all his animals and birds and spent the next 3 hours with them talking and telling them what they had to do. He gave them food and petted them all; some even got the chance to be brushed by him.

After saying goodbye to them, next he selected the fifty guards who were going with him.

O.o.O

After selecting men next, I headed to my mother's room, as she will be the one that I'm going to miss the most, as after last year our relationship has grown and become stronger due to efforts from both of us. I didn't try to distance myself from her, and I accepted the fact that she is my mother, and she is the one who is closest to my heart, and I care tremendously about her.

Taking my time, I walked into the manor, returning the servant's greetings. I calmly kept walking, going to my room, freshening up as I lay on my bed and thought about some more plans for the future. An hour passed by, and I headed to my mother's room, as I knew if I didn't visit now, she would be here soon. and I wasn't wrong, as I was about to get up before a servant knocked on my door, alerting me,

"Lord Drake, the lady of the Storm's End, Lady Cassana, wants to see you."

Hearing the voice, I walked out of the room and saw my mother. Knocking on the door, I entered, but the sight that entered my eyes made me freeze. Cassana stood there, elegantly dressed in a... somewhat beautiful wedding gown, her night as black hair neatly left to her shoulder and the blue dress neatly hung to her body.

"Beautiful"

I spoke, turning the attention towards me. It was then that I noticed that she was now much healthier than before, with high mana storage in her body. It was a leap in power, but my surprise soon faded, as my necklace Nipheal was supposed to do this. She herself was a genius, she was naturally moving towards the point she should have,

"Nice right?"
