BAM!
Micheal hit the tower with a bang and it shook and bent a little to the left. The guards on top of it had lost their footing and fell.
They quickly stood and gave Micheal a deep bow. He was carrying lots of turkeys in his hand. He didn't acknowledge the bow and and he rushed straight to the kitchen.
He gave Kevin a phone call to come to the kitchen and he did that. The cooks diced the turkeys and added the necessary ingredients. They were about to put on the burner but Micheal stopped them.
Kevin was carried my Michael so he could put his hands on the pot.
[Time manipulation]
He increased the time of the Turkey and made it cooked. Micheal didn't waste anytime and he grabbed some plates and teleported to his bedroom.
Kevin let out a sigh and went back to check up on Roy.
(Meanwhile at the underground cave)
The cloaked angel sat on a throne made out of earth magic with his head resting on his chin as a report was read to him.
"Sir, the turkey's we stole to make a distraction in the war went loose due to some mistake by one of our men. He and his entire family have been punished and we burned his grandparents. This will not occur again. Please have mercy." the man said.
"They were just a distraction anyways." the cloaked angel said. He brought out a small tube with green liquid in it and threw it at his subordinate who caught it with shaky hands.
"I've received word from lady Black Rose. Her clone has found an apex rank beast near Grafit academy. She'd like to cause some chaos and reduce the power of Glacier. This potion will make the beast mad and agitated. You'll probably reach there in a year. Set off now." He said.
"Yes your majesty." the subordinate replied and he ran away.
(At the castle)
Haritha was seen tearing happily at the turkey thigh in her hand and Kevin was beside her being petted by her left hand. He was obviously embarrassed at doing it but his mother didn't care about that and continued to pat him.
At first he had refused when she asked but his father gave him a death glare.
"Do you want to hear a story Kevin?" his mother asked. "What story?" Kevin replied. "Tell me which part of history you want to hear."
"Ok...Can you explain the children overlords academy." he asked.
Kevin could feel Haritha hesitate before answering him.
"Can we wait till when you're 15 years old? I promise I'll tell you everything." she said.
"No. I want to hear it now." he answered defiantly.
Haritha sighed and spoke. "Ryūketsu. A phenomenon that happens every year on the 1st day of December far away from the walls of the two empires.
About 500 years ago, some men went out of the walls in search for beast resources as they couldn't find any dungeons. They wandered very far away and thought of giving up because of the weather's harsh way of treating them but as they decided to leave they stumbled upon something.
It was an altar made out of the hardest and finest diamonds in the world. They were happy because their days of search for resources didn't go to waste. Not even bothering to think of why there was an altar far out into the wastelands they started to try and harvest the altar and their efforts bore no fruit.
Despite being peak overlords and one of them being a god they couldn't put a scratch on the diamond altar.
After that they decided to leave it and head back home but they didn't do that without marking the altar and making a teleporter that connected the palace to it.
When they told the emperor what happened, he sent 1,200 slaves to the altar to dig it up. The slaves started digging and then one day. On December 1. The emperor found out the true value of the altar.
The slaves were digging and then a thick pulse of mana spread out from the altar. The slaves who were tired and famished were suddenly boosted up the ranks in power.
500 of them became overlords at rank 8, the remaining 700 couldn't stand the power and died.
Everyone was astonished at the news especially the emperor. He ordered them to stop digging and started a research on it.
Countless slaves were used back then, many died and many became overlords. Then the emperor got greedy and tried keeping the altar for himself. A foolish human he was.
Then one day, he was assassinated by his own knight commander. Peter Paragus.
The coup d'etat was accepted by majority but some opposed military rule. Peter later found the results of the former emperor's research.
Only 500 people could become overlords on December 1. Then he made a new rule. 'Only 5 year olds could be put beside the altar on December 1. Parents could use whatever schemes they liked to put their children among the number.'
That was the start of the bloodshed. Parents killing parents, children killing parents, parents killing children just to get onto that diamond platform on December 1.
Peter didn't do anything to stop it. He named that day Ryūketsu which means bloodshed. Before he gave your father the crown he made an academy just between the border of the two empires. Grafit academy.
A school to tutor the 5 year olds who survived Ryūketsu to control and harness their new powers. Micheal told me. We'll be sending you and your friends to Grafit academy next week.
Let me give you a warning. Beware of a yellow eyed angel child called Leyn. One mistake and you'll pay a visit to Hades."
