*beep* *beep* a hand reached out towards the sound (click) and the alarm was silenced.
The man who silenced the alarm slid his arm back under the blanket once more while muttering something under his breath
"Five more minutes and ill get up"
the five minutes he desired past quicker than he expected , because as soon as he had closed his eyes he had to open them again , the noise he hated hearing every morning came nocking in his ears again.
*beep* *beep* *beep* "Uhhhh.... how the hell did five minutes pass this quick , alright alright , i'm up" (click) the man silenced the alarm for the last time.
He got up from the bed begrudgingly and walked to the bathroom to wash his face and freshen up so that he can start the day.
While washing his face the man looked like he was still sleeping , only this time in a standing position , he was using the lowest amount of energy he could muster to scoop water in his palms and the splash his face with it
the cold water did its job and woke the man up enough where he could finally start freshening up , he started by cleaning the gunk in the corner of his eyes then moved to the ears then the teeth and finally he picked up his shaver and fixed up his beard.
After finishing he saw that his hair needed to be combed again so he undid his hair tie and picked up the hair brush , after carefully brushing his hair he tied it all up into a small pony tail
once that was done he looked into the mirror for the last time.
In the mirror he could see a young man in his mid 20's , fair skinned emerald green eyes with hints of blue in them an extended goatee beard with the same dark golden brown color as his faded ponytail hairstyle hair.
He was not handsome nor was he ugly most would consider him average looking by the general standard but he would disagree , the little bit of narcissism in him would not allow to call himself average.
As for the reason most people called him average looking he knew the biggest reason was not his looks per say but his physique. At 5 foot 11(180cm) he was heavier than most his height sitting at a comfortable for him 225lbs (102kg)
was is it 225lbs of pure muscle .... heh fuck no , yes he had a little bit of a bear belly and some of that fat went to his ass a bit more than he would like but he was fine with that
after finishing his checkup on the mirror the man smirked "Looking good Lucian" he said while leaving the bathroom.
Heading to the closet he picked up some beige jeans a black belt to go with it a white shirt and a black jacket along with some white shoes , not the most stylish but was good enough for him.
*ring* *ring*
His phone rang , he went to the table to see who it was before deciding to pick up or not.
"It's Jake , what dose he want now?" said Lucian as he annoyingly picked up the phone. As soon as he did he heard Jakes voice straight away "Good morning sleepy head ! , I'm surprised you even picked up haha"
"Ye ye good morning to you and all that as well , now what do you want ?" asked Lucian , refusing to have a normal conversation with this guy because he knew him to well , give him an inch he'll take a mile. This guy loved to talk if you can describe an extrovert as a person Jake would be it.
"Auuhh man don't be like that , am i hearing frustration ? do you want me to get some high class escorts and go have some fun tonight like last time ? hehe because i don't mind" Jake asked with anticipation.
"No" answered Lucian straight away " What do you want Jake ill be busy job hunting all day today"
"Fair enough" said disappointingly Jake , but he continued "Well in that case i best get to the point and ruin the surprise otherwise im not sure you'll come , the boys want to go for some barbeque tonight at Pork Loin Paradise around 8:00PM , and have entrusted me with the task of getting you there so make sure you make some room around that time ok ?"
"What , when did you guys decide to go for barbeque and how did you manage that considering where they live and some of their working hours did they take a day off ?" asked Lucian in bewilderment
"Yes they did , it's been over a year since all five of us have been together in the same place , so they thought it was long enough and they took a three day leave of absence. Paul's flight is in an hour as for George his flight is at 1:00pm and Michael is already flying. If you had opened our group chat you would have know that as well , but it's ok we knew what we were getting our selves into by befriending an introverted troll like you hahaha" said Jake joyfully.
Lucian was ecstatic while listening to Jakes explanation , it truly has been a long time since they have all sat together and enjoyed a drink , but his smile was short lived as he heard Jakes last remark "Funny you're a funny man , keep it up and this troll will shove his boot up your ass" said Lucian with a cold voice , alas to no avail as he heard Jakes laugh right away.
"Hahahaha no you won't , if you want me to take you seriously you got to change that tone buddy you've been using it since we were little , it dose not work anymore haha ill come pick you up at 7:40pm make sure you're ready bye bye"
as Jake hanged up the phone Lucian was fully awake now , he was happy and that's something he rarely says considering his life was truly plain.
Lucian felt strangled living in society , every year a new LAW was passed ever year a new RULE he had to follow it became to the point where he didn't know what was allowed and not anymore. Was he allowed to eat standing in a restaurant if he wanted ? was he allowed to drink coffee naked on his own balcony ? he knew these questions were ridiculous but it truly has reached a point where anything a person did there would be some sort of rule for it.
Perhaps he should try the eating standing part tonight just for fun he thought . "Enough of this nonsense time to go" Lucian said as he picked up the keys for his apartment and put them in his pocket with his phone and left.
