Having to retreat left a bad taste in my mouth. I definitely wasn't about to move on until I got my revenge on the creature. Chathis was feeling the same way, as he was assisting me with brainstorming ideas on ways to defeat the monster.
From experience, every monster that reaches a certain level, they gain resistances, and annoying skills that make it extremely hard to deal with. But, instead of panicking that it would fall like a lower leveled monster, you would just have to observe and a way to defeat it would show itself.
But you were in a battle. You didn't have time to keep track of what the monster does, as you needed to guarantee your own safety. Not that it happened to us, as we could have just backed off and observed what the creature was going to do. We made a rookie mistake, rushing headfirst into a trap in the hopes of defeating the creature before whatever its skill did.
