Eric POV:
Thankfully, the density of the trees was heavy the more I progressed into the forest, so it was essentially always nighttime. I figured that the deeper I went in, that I would encounter higher leveled base monsters, but that wasn't the case. It was the same three creatures that I found no matter where I was here. So I continued to ignore them.
After thirty minutes, I felt a vaguely powerful mana source pop up on my senses. It was definitely more powerful than the tiger and probably equal in strength to that of the Wyrm. Before engaging with it, I gave another sweep with Pith Orientation to check if I had any unwanted visitors. Not sensing anything out of the ordinary, I focused my attention on my foe ahead.
