Chapter 1 - End of the road

--31 December of 2060.--

Location: Inside a High-rise building, somewhere in London.

On the 256th floor of the Astou Building, the highest one can reach before reaching the rooftop, a man was standing in front of A glass wall. Since this building was the highest of all London, his gaze was roaming on the city down below in its entirety.

Even if it was late at night, the city was buzzing with life. Well it was expected since today was the last day before the new year. Every corner of every street was illuminated. People where walking throughout them like blood trough the arteries of a living being.

From time to time, fireworks would explode in the night sky. Every single human being on earth was anticipating the arrival of midnight. With it they would close this chapter of their life. And open a new one with goals, hope and new aspirations toward a better future.

Yet the man in front the glass wall seemed to be thinking of something entirely unrelated to the arrival of the new year.

Rashid Grahamm Ndiaye was born in 1999 somewhere in North West Africa. His mother, a born Senegalese lady was a Chemistry Professor at a university there. His father, a Half British Half American was Also a chemist enthusiast. He liked to tour the world discovering many things related to chemistry and at the same time meeting people he would share his passion with.

In 1995, his fifth time traveling to Africa but his first time ever putting foot on Senegalese soil, he met Daedalus' mother Astou Ndiaye. She was the one that the university entrusted with being Alexander Grahamm's guide throughout his stay. The two quickly bonded over their shared interest. In the following three months, they toured the country in its entirety. In the process they lived many unforgettable memories.

Alexander returned to his home country but they promised to keep in touch. Two years later, Astou moved over to London on the insistence of Alexander saying that he wanted her to work with him in his up and coming company NeBedie (It Is a mispronununciation of the English word Never die. It is the name of a plant with medicinal properties in Senegal.) which will focus on the medical field.

Another year passed and they got married first in London then they went back to Senegal to celebrate there.

Another year passed by and Alexander was born. His early years was spent in Senegal until he was 10 and then he went to London for better educational purpose. But he would keep coming back every year to spend at least three month in his mother's home country. There was just this peaceful life led in the countryside of his mother's village he won't find in the bustling streets of London.
