"Where did you hide it?" she asked.
Lady Caerie stared at her few moments, sipped her tea, and she waited patiently.
"I blamed the black book for what happened to me. I tried everything to destroy it, but it was not easy. I was not the rightful owner of the black book. I used fire, water, and even the ground to get rid of it, but the next day, the book appeared inside the chest. I was getting crazy; I was not myself for several months, and the king locked me here because they believed I was mad. I pretended to be mad, afraid of my life. I am afraid that if the king or the witch find the book, it will be the end of my life. I was so selfish till the end."
