"Yes, you're correct," Mary affirmed. "In truth, I assisted Rei in concealing the true purpose of this dinner. I initially proposed alternative ideas, such as a public proposal in the park, but he preferred a private setting with just a select group of family and friends," she explained.
Amy let out a sigh and crossed her arms, clearly displaying her disappointment. "What a bummer," she expressed. "Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled about Sandra and Rei's engagement, but I had been anticipating something different," she added, conveying her unmet expectations for a different kind of news.
