"Do you recall when I mentioned that my father wanted me to marry Amy?" Ash asked Ava, who nodded in agreement. He continued, "The truth is, he wanted her land and what's underneath, not Amy."
Ava's jaw dropped, displaying her disbelief, although it was not a novel revelation to her since she had already heard about it from Amy and Rei. However, she chose to feign ignorance of those details to prevent hurting Ash's feelings.
"In the past, he declared that he would only pass on the CEO position to me if I married Amy. I had already abandoned that dream, but now, it's time to revive it," Ash voiced, causing a frown to appear on Ava's face.
"Rekindle your dream to marry Amy and become the CEO?!" Ava exclaimed, puzzled.
