Yuki sobbed on the floor.
"You have too stop crying over food, you should think about where we are going to sleep tonight." Yukari patted Yuki's back.
Yuki got up and walked towards the fridge, the doors had been destroyed and it's content was clearly visible. Nothing lay in it but ash and dust.
"MY FOOD!!!" Yuki's tears were flooding the kitchen.
"He is literally the most childish person I know." Hana commented while scratching her neck.
Yuki saw a heap of ash in one part of the fridge, this heap of ash was the largest heap in the fridge. Yuki reached into the fridge and grabbed the heap of ash, it wasn't a heap of ash it was actually a bag of potato chips. The pack had been burnt which made Yuki think it was a heap of ash.
"Yokatta."
(Thank goodness.)
Yuki exclaimed and opened the burnt pack. The chips inside were completely fine, it seemed that the pack was designed to protect the chips from high temperature.
He put some of the chips into his mouth and munched on them. His mood had been brightened up, he looked Yukari and Hana who stood side by side behind him.
"Were you guys saying something?" He asked through mouthfuls of chips.
'He wasn't even listening to me!' Yukari thought.
"I said you should think of where we're going to sleep tonight." Yukari repeated.
"Hana, why are you here?" Yuki asked Hana.
"You are not even listening to me!!!" Yukari yelled.
"I came to check on you guys. I saw what happened and Yukari already explained everything to me." Hana answered.
"That's nice." Yuki answered and munched on more chips.
"Yuki-san, I've been wondering." Hana called for Yuki's attention and asked. "Is Yukari-chan your girlfriend?"
Yukari's face instantly turned red, she stared at Yuki seemingly waiting for him to answer instead of her. Even after hearing the question, Yuki's expression didn't change.
'Why did she ask that question? Yukari called me onii-san infront of her, maybe she didn't hear it. That reminds me, I haven't seen that new anime that was just released, maybe I can watch it later.' Yuki got lost in thought instead of answering the question.
"Hey, did you hear me?" Hana shouted.
Yuki was dragged out of his thoughts by Hana's voice. "Yukari is my sister." Yuki finally answered.
"Oooh." Hana had no idea why she felt relieved.
Yukari stood by Yuki and asked. "Where are we going to stay tonight?"
Their conversation had made them to forget that they were standing in a burnt down apartment, Yukari's question had reminded Hana and Yuki of that fact.
"You guys can stay at my apartment." Hana offered.
"Are you sure?" Yukari asked.
"Of course she's sure, just look at that certain look on her face." Yuki said while walking out of the kitchen. "Let's go." He said before walking past the door post.
"He really likes it when he gets free stuff." Hana commented.
Hana and Yukari both followed Yuki out of the apartment. The two siblings followed Hana into her apartment.
The apartment was beautiful, everything was green. The furniture and walls were green while the objects like vases were white. It had a serene atmosphere and the it made Yuki feel like he was in a green valley.
Hana's aunt was seated on the couch watching TV.
"Aunt Yui, we have visitors." Hana called for her aunt's attention.
Aunt Yui looked at her guests while still seated comfortably on the couch. She saw Yukari and Yuki standing behind Hana, their clothes were burnt but they seemed okay.
"Kinatarou-kun, forgive my manners." She instantly got up and apologized. Aunt Yui was aware of the power held by Yuki's family, which was why she was being respectful.
Hana was confused by her aunt's politeness.
"It's fine." Yuki said with a bright smile. "And call me Yuki."
"Call me Yukari. What's your name?" Yukari asked.
"I'm Mai Yui, the aunt of Hana. You can call me whatever you want." She said in the most respectful tone.
"We'll just call you Aunt Yui." Yuki said. He noticed that Hana and her aunt looked very much alike, it was like aunt Yui was the grown up version of Hana. "Hana said we could stay here for the night."
"You can stay as long as you want." She said while maintaining the respectful tone.
"Ummm." Yuki felt a bit uneasy due to the respect she was showing, while Hana thought it was wierd for her aunt to be very respectful towards Yuki.
"You can relax around us, just treat us like your neighbors. I don't like being formal." Yuki said while munching the last of the chips.
"Yes, Kinatarou-kun." Aunt Yui tried to relax a bit. This was the first time she been graced by the presence of royals. Apparently she hadn't met Yuki in person before, she had only heard of him through Hana.
"Call me Yuki." He said.
"Yes, Y..Yuki." She answered.
"Both of you can get yourselves cleaned up in the bathroom, while Hana and I cook something for you." She said.
"We already ate, so don't worry." Yukari politely declined. "Yuki will shower first while I sit here and wait for him to finish."
Hana guided Yuki to the bathroom while Yukari and aunt Yui sat in the living room. Hana returned not too long after and her aunt Yui asked her to come to the kitchen.
Yukari sat in the living room alone with Shizuku while Hana and aunt Yui talked in the kitchen.
"Aunt Yui, why were you so respectful towards them?" Hana asked with much curiousity.
"Because they are royals, not just any royals. They are members of one of the strongest upper house royal families. Their family is very wealthy and influencial." Aunt Yui explained.
"Yuki never mentioned that to me."
Hana was surprised, she never expected Yuki to be an heir.
"But it's okay if you still have a crush on him." Aunt Yui suddenly said.
"I don't have a crush on him!" Hana retorted.
They had no idea that Yukari could hear their entire conversation from the living room. She was seated with her eyes closed, she was trying to meditate but their voices kept distracting her. For the first time Yukari wished she could turn off her sensitive hearing. Her eyes instantly opened as a thought popped into her head.
'We can't keep wearing our current clothes, cause they might start to smell bad. And our other clothes were burnt, which means when Yuki gets out of the bathroom he won't have anything to wear.' Yukari thought before getting up and walking into the kitchen.
Hana and aunt Yui were stunned by Yukari suddenly walking into the kitchen.
"Sorry to interrupt, but do you have any spare clothes for Yuki and I?" She asked politely.
"I have some of my ex-husband's clothes and I'll get you some of Hana's clothes as well." Aunt Yui said before walking out to get the clothes.
Yuki and Yukari stayed at aunt Yui's apartment for the night before leaving in the morning. They were going to a shop to buy clothes, because the clothes aunt Yui had given Yuki were to big.
Yuki bought a yellow T-shirt and dark blue shorts, he also bought some sandals to wear on his feet. Yukari bought a grey long sleeve shirt and black shorts, she also bought sandals. These were the only things they bought for themselves. Yuki and Yukari also bought some groceries for Hana and her aunt Yui as a way to thank them for what they did.
Yuki and Yukari were walking towards the apartment building while carrying the groceries, they handed them over to Hana and aunt Yui before saying that they were leaving.
"Are you guys going after the person who tried to assasinate you?" Hana asked with a voice filled with worry.
"Yes." Yukari answered without any hesitation.
"Please be careful." Hana said before pointing at Yuki. "You better come back so you can buy me another chocolate cake, it's been a while since I ate it."
"Sure thing." Yuki said with a smile while scratching the back of his head.
'I shouldn't have given her that chocolate cake, now I'll be the one paying for it whenever she wants.' Yuki was in regret.
Yukari and Yuki proceeded to leave the apartment building. Shizuku was seated on Yuki's shoulder while Yukari carried her katana on her back. The moment they stepped out the apartment building they heard a loud familiar voice shout.
"Sengoku!!!" It was the voice of Yuki's younger brother, Haruki.
They heard the shout come from above them, they looked up and noticed a red haired boy jumping of the apartment building. He landed on his feet infront of them with a proud smile plastered on his face.
He had fiery red hair and eyes, he was dressed in a black sweat shirt and black shorts. He was wearing black shoes as well. He really looked like Yuki.
"Oi! Sengoku!" Haruki yelled one more time.
His voice was soo loud it attracted the attention of people walking by.
"Do you have to be soo loud?" Yukari complained.
"Sengoku, how are you doing? Long time no see." Haruki placed his palm on Yuki's shoulder.
Yuki's birth name was actually Sengoku. Yuki was a name given to him by Yukari, his elder brother and a couple of childhood friends. Everyone eventually started calling him Yuki, he also used the name Yuki for almost everything that requires his name. Haruki was the only one who still called him Sengoku.
