I took steps towards them, my cold gaze fixed on the nurse. She became alert when she saw me approaching, and her body froze and sweat began to bead on her forehead.
My presence seemed to intimidate her, and she knew that I had observed her actions. She could see the disapproval in my eyes, and she knew that she was in trouble.
I walked over to the man and gently placed my hand on his shoulder. "Is there anything I can do to help you?" I asked softly. He looked up at me with a mix of gratitude and sadness in his eyes, and said "I just want to see my brother. He's been in a coma for weeks and the nurses won't let me see her."
"I'll see what I can do," I said, determined to help the man in any way that I could.
"So, what's the name of your brother?" I asked, trying to gather some information.
"Eridin… Xiao Eridin…!", the man replied hesitantly, his eyes glued to the computer screen as I searched for a particular name.
"And what's your name, Sir?" I asked.
"My name...ah...it's Huan," the man replied, his voice still trembling.
"Do you know since when your brother was admitted?" I questioned.
"It been three months… I use to visit him everyday…!"
"But since the hospital staffed is replaced, I'm facing troubles to meet him every time" He said and his eyes were moist.
I searched diligently through the records but unexpectedly, I didn't found anything. I asked someone to bring in the offline records, but the scenario was same there wasn't any information about the man's brother, Xiao Eridian. I rechecked all the lists and records, but the result was still unfavorable.
"I'm sorry, but I didn't find his name here. Perhaps he uses another name? or maybe he's in another hospital?" I questioned, confused and wondering how this could happen.
"No... No... No…," Huan repeated, his voice growing louder and more frantic.
"He... he is here. I know he is here!" he shouted, his eyes turning red with emotion. I could see that Huan was becoming increasingly agitated, and I didn't know what to do to calm him down. Huan looked away, muttering something under his breath that Andrew couldn't hear.
I felt a sense of unease as I watched Huan's emotional state deteriorate.
'He doesn't look stable. I'm not sure if he's alright!'
'I have to calm him down now!' I thought to myself.
"Sir, please sit down for a while," I said, trying to sound as soothing as possible.
"We will call you when we are done finding in our records," I said to Huan, who was losing control of himself.
Huan without a word walked to the hospital window and rested one of his hands on the glass. He looked at the people passing by through the window, his face appeared to be relaxed.
But his expression changed when he saw two little kids going home, holding their parents' hands. It was clear that Huan was in deep pain and Andrew didn't know how to help him, he could only stand there and watch.
A memory came flooding back to him where he saw his brother, Xiao Eridian, in his mind's eye. His brother's eyes were blackened and there were cuts and bruises all over his face. He could hear his brother's voice saying goodbye to him, as if he were about to leave him forever.
The pain and grief of this memory was too much for Huan to bear and in a moment of desperation, he smashed his hand against the glass window. The window shattered instantly, sending shards of glass flying everywhere, and causing a commotion among the people sitting nearby.
The scene was chaotic and Huan's outburst had scared everyone. I could only stand there in shock, unable to process what had just happened. And I was getting bad vibes and didn't want to go near Huan, but I couldn't move away.
'What the hell's happening with this man...' I thought to myself.
I discussed the situation with the receptionist, but they couldn't find any information about a case involving a person named Xiao Eridian. I called the nurse who had been arguing with Huan earlier, scolded her for her
behavior, and questioned her about Huan and his brother. The nurse admitted her mistake but said that she didn't know what was happening, she couldn't provide any useful information.
I was left feeling increasingly confused and concerned, I didn't know what to make of Huan's outburst, and I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was not right.
Just then, Huan approached us, his heavy footsteps echoing in the reception area. Anger was emanating from his body and his eyes were unsteady. He looked even more agitated than before, and I could see that he was struggling to contain his emotions.
"Is there something wrong? Can I help you, sir?" I asked, trying to sound as calm and composed as possible. But Huan didn't answer, he just stood there, looking towards me and the nurse, his expression unreadable.
I could sense that something was about to happen, but I didn't know what it was. I was confused and didn't know how to help Huan.
He asked ruthlessly, "You all are keeping him away from me." His eyes were narrowed with anger, and his voice grew louder with every word. I was immensely afraid of the rage I saw building inside of Huan.
With a deep voice and a cold expression, Huan shouted, "You all killed him, didn't you?"
The accusation was clear and it took a moment for me to process the gravity of the situation. I realized that Huan believed that the hospital staff was responsible for his brother's death and his rage was directed towards them.
'But his brother's records are nowhere to found, is he really saying truth?'
At this point of time I started to doubt Huan and I knew that I had to diffuse the situation quickly before it got out of hand.
