There are five families that are biggest and famous for their names among the country, these families are considered the royals of the country.
Each family possess one gem,
Sapphire family owns a sapphire gem
Emerald family owns a Emerald gem
Ruby family owns a ruby gem
lilac family owns a violet gem
and at last Pearl family owns priceless Pearl
The gems and the pearl all are invaluable as they are considered as the heirloom of each family
Each family got their gem with hardship and sacrifices.
The lilac family had to sacrifice the ancestor who fought the dragon to obtain the tear of it, it went into possession of the head lady, the ancestor wife, who took everything and led the family into prosperity and wealth. But every action has its own reaction that is when the ancestor took the tear, it was already cursed by the dragon that the person who possess the diamond has ill intention then the diamond will glow and possess the person with greed to do bad things. Lilac family was blessed by a saint for best swordmanship.
Sapphire gem was obtained from a rarest magic crystal that was blessed by the saint and the gem gave them the power of healing, the heir gets the power and the family head always decided by the ability of healing inside the family. The gem was divided into two and made as a cuff links, indicating the family was always blessed with twins and their downside is the battle between the twins for the authority, one can only survive the battle at the end and becomes the head of the family. Sapphire family was blessed by a saint for best healing and they can only use blood to heal.
Ruby gem was obtained from a vampire blood, there was a saying that the ruby family is filled by vampires. and their ancestor blood was sacrificed to the witchcraft and the gem was so powerful that the remaining blood somehow was sucked out of their ancestor, and the gem was given to the family. They had manipulating mind as well as they can read others mind, their downside was once they use too much of their ability... they will lose control of their mind and become mentally ill.
Emerald gem was given to the emerald family. There was saying in the family, that the family used to serve a magical creature which was grateful to them and gave a gem that gives the family the strength and luck which they are great at archery and guns. Emerald family downside was they lack of loyalty, generation and generations people in the emerald family betray each other, they don't trust each other which always puts them on edge of everything. the gem was craftsman as a brooch for the family head.
At last it was the pearl family, they got the pearl of the Ocean from the ocean, people are said that the ancestor of pearl family webt on a journey through the sea and was attacked by unknown creature, the history of the family was the ancestor fought a big Kraken and also got defeated but a beautiful mermaid helped the ancestor to kill the kraken, there was also saying the mermaid fell in love the ancestor of this family, and gave her heart to him which was the pearl that is seated in their heirloom. The mermaid's heart became the pearl because she was heartbroken because the ancestor was already married and has someone he loves, she didn't want to be sperate from him so she give them the heart that she sacrificed herself and became the pearl. Due to this, the family was started to rule by Women and women started to fight for the authority. As the master will be a woman, the pearl was crafted into a necklace for the master to wear it.
The five families are powerful moreover. The family had their magical powers through blood and passed down to your offsprings, due to some conflict between the families which became unknown of thr cause, all the family decided to lock all their blessings and curses into the heirloom, which is why the heirlooms was protected by each families at all cost.
it's now the fourth generation that is in the 21st century holding onto the heirlooms of their respective families
