A Ƙahi'k was the name given to the right-hand man of a chieftain. They consider them as the blade of the chieftain whom you must pass through. They were the beings most loyal to the Chieftain and usually, most chieftains listen to their advice. Seeing Sol do the opposite made him panic. He thought the kid was unfamiliar with his identity or his purpose.
"I need a subordinate and not a partner. I am your chieftain, your king, and your God. A God needs no army, a good is the embodiment of perfection. Trust in this child and I will revive this tribe" Sol said in a casual tone before turning and showing his back to the Ƙahi'k.
He didn't need a partner who would tell him how to survive, what he needs are subordinates who will do so he says.
"A Ƙahi'k loses his name the moment he takes this post. He becomes a shield and a sword to the Chieftain. This servant means no disrespect…This servant will do as you wish" The Ƙahi'k said with slight disappointment in his eyes after which he retreated into the shadow.
Hmph!
Sol snorted disdainfully. He had managed a major cooperation in his past life and single-handedly built an empire at a young age. He has made his plans and all he needs is for them to be carried out. If he were to give an explanation today, wouldn't that mean he would have to give an explanation tomorrow and the day after that?
What king answers to his subordinate?
They will either bend to his will or be discarded, it's that simple.
"Hak!"
Sol's eyes widened as fierce flames exploded on both palms, surging madly. He may be weak now but his potential for growth with the system is high. Who would the enemy fear more, a king in hiding, or a king out there giving them a reason to fear?
If the king does not make a move, his people won't follow!
He has to be the one to initiate it!
...…..
Another week passed and Sol simply focused on recovery. While he was the new Sixth tribe chieftain it was only in name. His spectacular survival of the trail of transparency only gave a temporary boost to his fame and now people living within his castle give him doubtful gazes.
Sol suspected it was because his personal issue with the ƙhai'k has been made public and many believe his decision is unwise but he didn't care. After a week of rest, he felt better and quickly left for the academy of guardian.
Boarding the tribe chieftain carriage, Sol was sent to the center of Hallow mountain where the academy of guardians resides. The only neutral territory in the Hallow mountain!
At the gates of the academy, all students are forced to leave their carriage and walk on foot but as the sixth tribe head, Sol still possessed some level of authority, or maybe they were just giving him face for the sake of the Ark family as a whole but none of that mattered to Sol, soon he will make these people respect him.
The academy was divided into three regions. Unlike other academies, there was no stipulated time for it, classes would go as normal and exams would be taken. Those who make the cut are promoted to the inner circles of the academy while the rest remain where they are. In summary, the supernatural beings are the core of this world so even the weakest cannot be discarded so they are kept around. But according to the little ƙahi'k explained to him before he left. Your ring also determines your level of authority in Hallow mountain. It is said that there is a fourth ring but those who have been able to achieve this level are the ancestors of the current family heads.
Flap!
Sol was dressed in an orange and golden oversized robe, flapping to the wind as he exited the carriage. His eyes fell on a mid-sized castle which seemed quite luxurious for the middle ages.
At the gates were two guards who quickly inspected Sol's token and gave him a distasteful look before making way for him.
By rights, this should be his dormitory as the rightful heir to the sixth tribe.
Flap!
Sol ignored them and walked forward while servants rushed out to take his items of luggage. His eyes flashed coldly as he noticed a peculiar-looking maid run past him and his eyes trembled in surprise but he quickly hid his shock and moved forward without a single thought.
Bang!
The massive doors yanked open, leading to a grand hall with several figures present. Sol's arrival seemed to interrupt what seemed to be a tense atmosphere. His eyes knitted together as he felt bloodlust in the air, it seemed like a fight would soon break out.
Bam!
The doors shut behind Sol and he stood alone as the center of attraction. His eyes scanned the faces of everyone present and he remembered everyone one of them. Before coming here, he was given basic information about the heirs of each tribe and things he needed to know about them.
One of the most important he deduced from the information presented to him was very simple.
He is the weakest in the room and these people would be able to smell it!
"Sol… Sol Ark" Sol took the initiative to introduce himself while he strode forward at a slow yet steady pace.
Each step he took carried an air of confidence built from his success in his life. He admitted that currently he was the weakest amongst the pack but that will only be for so long! Right now, he considered himself with the most experience and knowledge among these people which has made up for his weakness, so he had no reason to be intimidated by their presence.
Well, well, well…. I didn't think he would actually show up. You are fairing far better than I expected for someone who almost died during his rite of awakening. Not bad" An arrogant voice rang across the room, dragging everyone's attention.
Heh!
Sol could only chuckle cruelly at those words as his eyes met with the owner of the voice.
