Ten minutes to the ceremony and here I was. Still staring at myself.
A knock on the door finally snapped me out of my reverie. Imagine the surprise I felt when I opened the door and one of your subordinates was standing there, munching on mom's cookies and when he felt my eyes on him he threw a cold glare at me.
Apparently they all hate my guts and want to skin me alive. Literally! I couldn't blame them though.
He grunted in mock amusement and told me that the ceremony was about to begin and mom had asked him to fetch me.
While walking out I caught sight of Stephanie by the edge of the forest glaring at something and when my eyes followed her line of sight my breathing seized.
There you were, standing on the makeshift podium laughing freely with mom. A cookie in your hand. The wind blew lightly and with it came your addicting scent. How I love your scent.
I turned back around and at that moment Stephanie turned away too walking off into the forest.
I didn't expect her to stay the whole ceremony but it was a must for all wolves to attend the shift in power.
I'm definitely going to punish her for this. Disrespecting my dad as her current Alpha and me as her new one.
