Suatu ketika sebuah anime terbaru bernama "High school life" yang menjadi anime dengan penjualan terbaik di Jepang yang akhirnya menjadi anime tontonan tervaforit bagi Masayuki. Masayuki memiliki karakter wanita kesukaannya bernama Amaya Mikazuki yang membuatnya merasa jatuh cinta pada karakter fiksi wanita tersebut namun itu hanya ada dalam khayalannya saja. Namun suatu hari ia bertemu dengan seseorang yang mengajaknya ke suatu tempat,Seseorang yang tidak diketahui identitasnya yang membawanya kepada seseorang,Seseorang yang sangat ia cintai namun hanya dalam angan-angannya saja yaitu Amaya Mikazuki yang merupakan karakter fiksi yang sangat ia cintai. Namun ia hanya diberikan waktu selama satu tahun bersama Amaya Mikazuki. Ia diberikan sebuah Diary dan juga sebuah jam kalung yang akan digunakan untuk mencatat segala aktifitasnya bersama Masayuki dan menghitung waktu melalui jam tersebut. Satu-satunya cara agar Masayuki bisa selalu bersama dengan Amaya adalah dengan mengubah takdirnya sendiri.
