[Clayton POV]
I felt like I was over the moon, well I have gone through many articles on how to know when your wife is ready to be intimate with you.
Though I ignored the first advice which was to talk to her, turns out the first advice was the right one.
"You look happy today," Cain says, I have been a bit grumpy over the days.
"Well, I talked to my wife, and we sort everything out," I say enthusiastically.
"I am happy for you," Cain says, "well shall we start the day?"
"Yes, please I have to go back to my family early today, I just want to spend some quality time."
Father was a family man; he would come home early every time to help mother cook or help her with taking carer of Cyan and me.
I always envied him growing up, he had such an amazing family and was so happy, and now I am the happy man my father once was. I just hope to always be with my family and protect them, I don't want to die like mother and father.
"Um…. Clayton, may I have a word," Cain says, "I know you want to go home, but this will only take a while."
"Sure, what is it about," I say sitting down, Cain had walked to sit too.
"So, I was talking to my mother the other day and um…..." he stutters, Cain had always been a reserved introvert though he is quite rowdy around people he is comfortable around.
But whenever he asks for a favor, he turns full introvert, "just say what is on your mind Cain."
"Well, I wanted to talk to your family to set up a date for paying the dowry and to introduce the two families," he says in a low tone.
Cain and Cyan's relationship is quite entertaining to watch, I never thought they would jump into marriage right away though, Cyan can be a bit free spirited.
"Oh… you want to get married," I asked, "does Cyan know about this?"
"Yes, we talked about marriage, and she is okay with it," he says, "I have been saving to get enough money for dowry that is worthy of a woman like Cyan."
"Oh… that is good, well you will have to talk to grandmother about that and set the date, I am just her brother, it is the elders who decide those sorts of things."
"I know, I just wanted to let you know first," he says sheepishly.
I let out a chuckle, he really turns mushy and scared whenever he is anxious.
"Don't worry, everything will be okay, grandmother loves you." I reassured, "in the meantime how about you join us for dinner tonight, Cyan would be happy if you did."
"I wouldn't want to impose," he says shyly.
"Nonsense, Conan's girlfriend joins us every time, you are about to be Cyan's fiancé."
He hesitantly agrees, and it seems he is happy he came along by the ridiculous smile on his face when he sees Cyan.
It was fun to have Cain around, it seems our family have gotten big over the months.
Cian had spoken to grandmother about the dowry, and they set up a good date for the celebration, to say grandmother was over the moon was an understatement.
Soon my wife was 4 months pregnant, and it was Zoey's first birthday. We had made sure it was a small intimate celebration.
"Wow, the Sofia theme was such a good idea," my wife chimes, she looked pretty with her purple ball gown matching our daughter and grandmother who wanted to match with her great granddaughter.
Holly really outdid herself with this, it was not too glamorous nor was it too lowkey, unfortunately there were no kid Zoey's age since she had no friends her age and we had no family friends with kids her age.
"I think Zoey needs to get friends her age," I say, "we should be it the park more often, we might meet parents with kids Zoey's age."
"Yeah, it would be nice, to have play date and stuff," Kaleah says.
The pregnancy was well, we requested that we should know the gender of the child since we want it to be a surprise, but I hope it is as pretty as its mother.
The party was filled with happy moments and Zoey's giggles, even without friends her age she still had a fun time.
After the whole party we decided to watch a movie with Zoey, since she still had a lot of energy, I felt warm, having my two girls and here with me.
During the Christmas holidays the family decided to have Cyan's dowry preparations, it had been good to see a family united like this.
With my marriage we never had interfamily relations since Kaleah's family was not in the picture, I had hoped it was as beautiful as this one.
Watching Cain blush like a fool and Cyan red and embarrassed, it was even cute to watch my 5-month pregnant wife, well she was always the main event.
"Dada," Zoey chimes tugging my hand, she had started being a bit too curious, crawling around the house causing havoc.
She loves her mother that is for sure, but she is a daddy's girl, even grandmother is appalled by the way she would choose me over her.
"Come on princess let us go celebrate with aunt Cyan," I say lifting her up, she giggles cutely, jumping up and down.
"One day it will be Zoey getting married," Conan joked, an awful joke at that.
"It would be nice to see her happy," Kaleah supports.
"What? My Zoey didn't say she wants to get married when she grows up," I say boldly, "right princess you are never getting married."
Maybe she will get married when she grows up, and maybe one day she will be heartbroken, but I will protect her regardless.
"Hey, can you guys come and meet my in-laws," Cyan says blushing like a fool, it was nice to see her this happy.
"Yeah, yeah we are coming, no need to be impatient, your ginger is not going anywhere," Conan Teased.
Grandmother was the happiest, she had always hoped that we all get married, and having two married and one in a relationship was an achievement.
Cyan decided to schedule her wedding for May next year when Kaleah had already given birth since she was due April next year.
We began the new year hopefully, hopeful that it will bring nothing but good things and more happy memories, Conan had resumed his studies along with his girlfriend who was now studying to be a nurse.
But the biggest concern was grandmother's health, it was slowly deteriorating, and it was quite scary.
She never worried though, she always told us that she was to see all of us marry, and she would not die before that.
"It is almost our anniversary," Kaleah says, she was now seven months pregnant as we were approaching March and her hormones were always over the place.
"And we are soon to be parents of two," I teased.
She gently rubs her belly, "yeah, can't wait to meet the little one." She looks to give me a big smile, "ugh… I think I need to pee again."
I chuckle as I lift her to take her to the bathroom, she mumbles something about being too heavy. I wait for her outside the bathroom door, but it only takes a few moments before she lets out a gut-wrenching scream.
Pulling the door open I see her frantic, blood running down her thighs, "Uh…." She groaned, "something is wrong with the baby."
I quickly lift her up frantic to get her to the car, "Conan call Dr Martin, he needs to be ready my wife is bleeding."
The car ride to the hospital feels draining, my wife is groaning in pain, while I just hope both of them are okay.
