Alvos nodded and walked through the gate. As he passed, the guard looked up and gave a hand signal to the soldier on top of the wall. After receiving the signal, the guard moved to the other side.
There, he operated a light signal, sending a message to a watchtower. The person receiving it relayed the message to his superior.
"Commander, a god has entered the city. What should we do?" asked the intelligence officer, addressing a man in a black chest plate.
"I'll inform the city lord. Tell our agents to keep an eye on him, but ensure we aren't spotted," the commander replied.
The officer nodded and left.

**Alvos' POV:**
Alvos, under the name Lucius, roamed the city. His first task was to find an inn. After asking a citizen, he discovered inns were rated from 1 to 5 stars. He chose a 5-star inn—a towering 10-story building—and rented a room before exploring the city.
**A few hours later...**
As Alvos walked through the city, he studied a map. The sectors were divided into:
- Business Sector
- Food Sector
- Forging Sector
- Market Sector
- Entertainment Sector
The Military Sector was closed off, and the Industrial Sector was combined with the Forging Sector.
Alvos headed to the Market Sector.
**20 minutes later...**
After a long walk, he arrived at the Public Market. He saw people—some demi-humans and others from foreign lands—moving in and out of the busy area. The enticing aroma of food filled the air.
Approaching a stall, a man in a blue robe greeted him. "Welcome, welcome! This is the Lang Shu Skewer Stall from the East. Please, pick your choice," the man said, gesturing to a variety of skewers: octopus, beef, and vegetable.
"I'll take the beef skewer," Alvos said, paying for it and taking a bite. "Damn! This is great!"
As he ate, he noticed two permits on the wall and pointed at them. "What are those for?" he asked.
"That's the business permit and hygiene permit," the stall owner explained. "The business permit allows us to operate, and the hygiene permit means we passed inspection. We even have a rune that ensures we're inspected monthly."
Alvos nodded, continuing his exploration. Soon, he reached the Industrial Sector, where large wooden crates were being loaded onto carriages pulled by horses.
He caught sight of the city lord's palace, which was grand enough to rival a king's. Armored guards in black stood vigilant. When Alvos tried to use his powers to inspect the palace, they were blocked by an invisible barrier.
'Is there a material that cancels out a god's power?' he wondered.
Before he could investigate further, he realized it was already evening. He returned to the hotel and upgraded to a room with a balcony. "Tomorrow, I'll meet the city lord. But first, I need new clothes," he thought as he lay down on his king-sized bed, quickly falling asleep.
---
Meanwhile, a squad of soldiers kept an eye on Alvos with binoculars.
"Seems like he isn't planning anything aggressive," one soldier said.
"Indeed. But for now, we observe," another replied.
The squad nodded and left.

**The Next Day...**
Alvos woke up and headed to the breakfast area, enjoying a good meal with coffee from the northern continent of Pangea, known for its ideal conditions for growing coffee beans. Thanks to the Draconian trade fleet, this coffee was imported fresh.
After breakfast, he left the hotel and headed to the Entertainment Sector.
**Entertainment Sector...**
Alvos saw a variety of attractions—casinos, brothels, clothing stores, and jewelry shops. He first visited a clothing store and bought some garments that seemed foreign to the locals. Afterward, he attended a rare fighting event, which only occurred once a year. In this event, the city lord was responsible for finding a representative.
**A few hours later...**
Alvos sat in the first-class section of the stadium with three beef skewers in his left hand and popcorn in his right. He watched two skilled fighters battle with real swords. The fighters couldn't die due to special armor that calculated how much damage they would have received.
"Combatant number 5 loses! Combatant 27 wins!" the referee announced.
The crowd erupted in applause as the winner received a medal and a cash prize. Suddenly, an even louder roar of cheers filled the stadium. Alvos heard someone shout, "The city lord has returned!"
Instantly, Alvos teleported near the gate. He saw an army of musketeers and heavily armored soldiers escorting chained prisoners. Cavalry paraded the enemy's battle flags.
Then, Alvos sensed an overwhelming aura of power. He looked at the man leading the army.
"It's him... the city lord."
