#Chapter52
After rubbing behind Braden's ears, I start heading upstairs to his room. The last time we were here together felt so long ago.
The closer I got to the room the noise from downstairs drowned out and I could here the sound of soft music playing from his room.
I knocked gently and pushed the door open. The moment I looked inside I stepped back.
The image in front of me was one I've seen twice before, so really, I should be used to it but this time it was different.
Cole sat shirtless on his bed, his arms wrapped around a girl who sat on his lap, straddling him. Normally he pushed the girl off by now but in his defence, he couldn't see me.
/"is this a sick joke?/" I asked, finally announcing my presence in his room. I was not the type of girl to start to cry and run away. My mom did not raise me as a little girl.
The moment he heard me; he pushed the girl off him finally. She grabbed a bed throw and placed it over her legs.
